Chapter 66

Michael calls Drew once he is back in his hotel room. "Michael how did things go today?"

"Those idiots actually talked about their borders and back gate in front of me. I don't know why they were that stupid, but man. I have some ideas that could help us get in, I'll tell you about it when I get back."

"Do you really think it's possible to steal her from the pack?"

"More important right now is your dad, they said they will take care of your father, but you have to call Anthony to set up times and dates. When you get there you and I can talk about things, I'm getting on a plane tonight, I'll be home shortly."

Drew calls Eric in the office. "Your father is on his way home, he talked them into helping my father. He also said he might have found a way into the pack. Maybe we can get them out."

"That is great," Eric states. "Dad has always been good at planning strategy."

"He has a lot to tell us when he gets here. We have to get him at the airport late tonight."

While on the plane all Michael could think of was how his wife had done this, "Isn't it her fault? She is the one that left. She was the one that took another man, left me behind like I wasn't worth keeping. After twelve years, just up and leaves. Yeah, we both said it was until she found her mate, but twelve years. The sad thing is that she still gets under my skin."

Eric and Drew are at the airport picking up Michael, "Dad, how are you?" Eric yells too him.

Drew reaches his hand to Michael shaking it, "How are you?"

"I'm good, we have a lot to talk about. She has a lot of people on her side, even her mother is there. We are not going to get to them too easily. You need to call them to set things up for your dad tomorrow."

"I've already done that, just tell us what you saw."

"Let's get home first, this is going to take too long. And I need a drink."

When they get to the house, first thing they do is get a drink at the bar. "Did you see my kids?"

"They're cute. I have adorable grandchildren. She named the boy Wyatt, he looks like her, but he has your color hair. The girl, Hailey, is Melody top to bottom except she has your eyes. She looks like Melody all over again. They are beautiful and happy. He acts like they are his, they call him dad."

Drew stands up, storms to the bar to pour another drink, "He's NOT their father, I AM!"

"I'm going to tell you there are a lot of people that circle her and the kids. There are three men my age they call grandpop, then Laurie." He looks at Eric, "Your mother. The bitch had a kid with the asshole, her name is Carley. She's a kid, she's only about seven or eight. And who's bright idea was it to send Bonnie there?"

"I did dad, I thought she could talk her into coming home."

"Well, it worked so well she found her mate. And of all things it's Anthony's beta. They bought a house right down the street from Melody, oh yeah, and Laurie lives right across the street from Melody."

"Is that all of them, Michael?"

"That is the just the beginning. There is the other Beta, they call him Kody. He's mated to somebody that plays in the same orchestra as Melody, they have two kids."

Drew cuts Micheal off. "Is there any time she's away from all these people?"

"Melody runs the cancer ward of the hospital. The council is backing her with her research. She's sometimes in the hospital, but she's never really alone. There is always the hospital staff around her. They cure 99% of their cancer patients. Which has gotten her famous."

"What about when she plays her concerts, is there any way we can get her then?"

"Usually everybody is with her. Her natural ability to play music, is making her world-renowned. On the last trip ALL those people came with her. We also have to worry about the reporters and cameras, I don't know if we can get her at a concert. What really worries me is where are we going to hide her when we take her?"

"We can't take her until she fixes my father. We got time to figure it out."

"I have a place for that." Eric says. Neither Micheal or Drew seem to hear him.

"Melody said she would have to do follow up treatments at her hospital for about four or five weeks, I think."

"Yeah, I know. I talked to Anthony on the phone. They're going to do two treatments here then do the rest at her hospital. While we're there we can learn their schedule and find a way to get to her. When they come will they bring my kids with them? You know when we take mine I want to take his, so he knows what it feels like not to have his kids with him."

"Last time they brought all the kids with them. So, I think they will. It's hard to explain. They are very close they are all hugging all the time. Even the betas and their three mates, are part of everything. Kind of hard to believe, that they have what belongs to us and they are so happy."

Drew is storming around the bar, "We are just the ones left behind. We need to make some plans to get them back."

"We can play their game for a while. Make them think we are grateful for what they are doing for Alpha Kevin, that we are accepting things."

"You're right, Eric. If things work out, I might even get to know my kids."

"All we have to do is be good actors." Michael smirks.

The next morning Drew is on the phone calling Antony to confirm the plans to have them come and see his father. "Hello Anthony, how are you?"

"Drew, what is the call for?"

"Anthony, I'm just calling to confirm the time and place for you to come and treat my father. The least we can do is pick you up at the airport."

"We will be at your pack on Friday to treat your father. Our transportation is already set up."

"Will you be staying with us? How many in your party? Also do you need me to arrange any supplies or equipment at the hospital?"

"That has not been determined yet. We will contact you shortly. Goodbye Drew."
