Chapter 32

The next day Drew called his longtime friend. "Hello Anthony, it's Drew. I wanted to invite you to my Alpha Ceremony. It is going to be a big party."

"I can't come my mate is pregnant and I can't leave her."

"I understand. Congratulations on finding your mate."

"How have you been?"

"I'm okay, I lost my mate."

"I am sorry how did she die."

"She didn't die; she ran away. She wasn't good enough to be a Luna, the pack wouldn't of accepted her." He went on to explain what happened. "I will find her, and she is not leaving me again." After Drew hung up, he felt worse. 'That is one lucky bastard. He got his mate and is having pups. That could have been me. She took my pups with her.'

'You did this to us. Mate left because you treated her so badly.'

'Stop all this complaining, Boomer. I am going to find us a new mate.'

'I don't want a new mate; I want our mate.' Boomer howled loud in his head. Drew held his hands on his temples wanting to stop the pain from his wolf.

The night of the Alpha Ceremony, Eric yells. "Party time everything is set up perfect. There are going to be all kind of girls there."

"I know, I invited them. Now I am trying to get dressed will you go away."

"You are so cranky. Tonight, you are becoming the Alpha of the Skyline Pack. Every girl out there is going to throw themselves at you."

"They are going to go after you too, Beta. What do you think?" Drew stepped out in a brand-new tux that was tailored to fit perfectly.

"Not with the way you look in that tux." The ceremony went great the pack cheered for him.

The two stood side by side looking at all the girls around them. "Well, Eric, from now on we run the pack my way. I am going to show them how much fun it is to have me as the Alpha, especially the females. Why don't you get us a drink."

Eric returned with a girl on his arm along with two drinks. "I have to talk to the Alpha; we can catch up later." The girl gave him a seductive wink and walked off. "Well, Alpha, it is you and me. Tonight is going to be fun. Have you picked out which girl you want."

"The red head over there has been flirting with me all night."

'She is not our mate. Don't touch her.'

'Boomer, our mate has a different male in her life. Why can't I have fun.' He shouldn't of said that Boomer was howling so loud Drew couldn't take the noise. He ended up drinking to quiet his wolf. When he woke up in the morning he was still a little drunk. He saw the red head lying next to him naked. 'She is cute, maybe I found my Luna. I need to try a few more before I make up my mind,'

'She is not our Luna.'

'Boomer, will you stop. We will still find our mate for you and me to keep. She still can't be our Luna. Don't you think it would be fun having two females.'

'I don't like touching them. Not with mate missing.'

'What if we never find Melody. Does that mean we can never be happy. This is her fault not mine. She could have talked to us, and we could have fixed things.' Boomer didn't answer him and went to the back of his mind.

He left her sleeping to get a shower. When he came out, she was sitting there all seductive. "Alpha, come back to bed."

"I can't be late for my first day as the Alpha, get dressed I will see you tonight."

"If you have to go at least give me a kiss goodbye." He walked over, pulled her into his arms and kissed her like she meant something to him. He stepped out of his room, 'I need coffee and something for this damn headache before I start this day.'

Eric meets him in the kitchen. He looks as bad as Drew. "How was your red head?"

"Sasha was wild. I am seeing her again tonight. The best part is my wolf let me have fun, he isn't sulking as much. I talked to him; he is mad at her this time. He understands we need a mate and is letting me find one I want."

"That is the best news ever, Drew. See I told you; you don't need her. Is Sasha going to be our Luna?"

"I don't know. I am going to try some others out. Have a little fun before I pick one. How was your blonde?"

"Hot as hell. Her and I are going to meet up later."

Two months have passed since Melody left, the pack is finally getting organized. For the most part Alpha Kevin and now Alpha Drew have organized most of her projects.

Drew and Eric are sitting having coffee as usual in the morning. "Eric, Dad has been sending pictures out to find Melody. No one has seen her, there has to be a way to get more information to locate her."

"Dad has a plan to find her it will take time, but he will find her eventually."

"I am enjoying the other she-wolves for now."

Eric gives him a devilish grin. "With all the girls you've had lately, one of them had to be good enough in bed to make you want more."

"To be honest about it none of them are as good in the sack as she was. The way she moved and the little sounds she made. I can't get her out of my head, that night was perfect." Drew looked at the stack of paperwork on his table. "I have been partying so much lately that I have let things slide. You head out to training while I handle this mess."

As Eric left the office Michael came in. "Alpha Drew, I have been going to packs in the area to see if I can find her. So far, no luck as you well know. Now that I am retired, I would like to travel from state to state and find my daughter."

"Do you think you will be able to find her doing this?"

"The pictures aren't working, and I can't figure out any other way to locate her. I want to try at least."

"Go for it, keep in contact with us though. I want to know the minute you find her."

"If I find out anything I will make sure to contact Eric. Thank you, Alpha, I will start first thing in the morning."

Two more months have gone by, and Michael hasn't found anything yet. He's called Eric every week to let them how he has made out.

"Eric, come to the office."

"Yeah, Alpha, you need me to do something."

"I was wondering did you get a hold of your dad?"

"I talked to him last night. He said he hasn't found out anything yet."

"Four months, she has been gone four months and still nothing."

"Drew, you don't look too good. What is up with you?"

"Get my dad now." Eric mind linked Alpha Kevin.

He came in the office to see his son curled up in a ball on the couch. "Drew!"

"It is happening dad. He is here." As he said that the pain lightened up to just an annoyance, "I have a pup somewhere out there and I can't be with him." A second pain came. "Damn, there are two of them, dad, I have to find them."

Eric, not knowing about the pregnancy, asks. "Who is here?"

"My pups are born. Melody ran away with them."

"How do you know that?"

Alpha Kevin, seeing his son was not up to explaining, took over. "The doctor told us when he doubled over in pain, that Melody has a new mate. The pain Drew experienced was so bad, the doctor said it broke the bond with the pup she was carrying. He told us to expect this to happen when the pup was born, also to expect more than one. This is the final break between Drew and his pups."

"I have a niece or nephew out there."

"There are two of them." Drew said as the pain eased off. "I need to find them even more than I need her."

"I can't believe she was such a bitch to not let you know about your own pups." Eric punched the air in anger. "When we find her, she is going to wish she never ran away."
