Melody was starting to understand things better but needed a few more answers. "Explain last night. I was too upset to understand what you said. Some of it doesn't make any sense."

"Your father left Frank and I with you and your brother so he could set up a meeting with Alpha Kevin to arrange things. When we went to speak the Alpha, he seemed fine with all of it and gave me permission to leave with Frank. He told me to get a home set up for the kids and come back for them. He even made a remark that it would be nice for us to have a little time alone before we brought kids into our new home."

"Alpha Kevin, he said that and didn't try to have you stay and help out the pack? That makes even less sense, we didn't have a Luna at the time."

"He acted like he was happy for me. I went to Frank's pack so I could meet and talk to his Alpha. Then we set up a home for the three of us. You were coming with me. When I got back four days later the guards stopped me at the gate, Frank was at the hotel waiting for me. He thought it would be easier on your father not seeing him more than he had to."

"Didn't you mind link Beta Michael and tell him you were there?"

"I tried, but he blocked me out. I didn't understand what was going on. The guards had boxes there waiting for me. I told them that I had to get you. They didn't care, and said I wasn't allowed in, that all my belongings were in the boxes. I called Frank to tell him what was happening. He said he'd be there shortly. I loaded the boxes and waited outside the car. The guards told me to leave that I wasn't allowed to stand there. I was pissed by this time and told them that I was still a pack member and had all rights to stand there."

"You hadn't pledged to the other pack or signed the transfer papers?"

"Alpha, I am telling you I had not done anything but visit Frank's pack. I was coming back to get Melody and finish the paperwork. The guards threatened to put me in the dungeons. I told them I was still the Beta's wife and they had no say over me. That must of pissed them off, they walked over to me, all four of them; each one taking turns hitting me. When Frank finally got there, I was unconscious, he told me that they were still kicking me, I was close to being dead. He went ape shit crazy and got me out of there. I still have the scars to prove it." She pulled her shirt off her neck to show Melody one of them.

"That was our pack at the time, how could they do that to you?" Melody's eyes became glassy hearing all this.

"I woke up two months later in a hospital. Frank's Alpha called Alpha Kevin; he refused to even acknowledge him. It almost caused a war."

"I remember that. Alpha Kevin called our pack for help because we are allies."

"I went to the werewolf council, but they couldn't do anything because I didn't do any paperwork and Michael did. He told them I abandoned him and the children. I had no way to get to you. I almost left Frank to beg to come back so I could be with you."

"The beta would of taken you back he loved you."

"Michael was mad, meaner than anything I have ever seen. He told me if I came back, he would take me back, but I couldn't be his wife or your mother. I would be a slave in the pack and if I was lucky, I would be able to see you once in a while. If I didn't talk to you that is. I was so desperate I was going to do it. Frank stopped me. He said that it would cause you and Eric so much pain and myself."

"You're telling me that he did this to us, he kept you away and blamed you. He did it to get even with you, then took all his anger out on me."

"I was waiting for you to grow up and prayed to the Moon Goddess that I would be able to see you again. I saw you at Mr. Hughes' house playing, I wanted so much to go to you then and there, it just didn't seem like the right time. I asked him to tell me when you had your next concert so I could talk to you. He told me he would contact me, which he did and here I am. Don't be mad at him he doesn't know I am your mother, only that I was a fan."
