Chapter 75

"I am on my way home. It has been a long morning." As I turn to leave, he grabs my arm to hold me in place, as I pull away Anthony comes in and shoves Drew up against the wall.

"You don't touch her, or I will kill you. Do you understand me?"

Drew growled, "I just wanted to ask her something." Anthony throws him to the floor.

"Anthony, please," I say as I reach for him. He picked me up and carried me all the way home. I am half in tears.

"Are you alright baby? Did he hurt you?"

"He didn't hurt me he scared me. It just brought back things with my family I'm sorry. It is my fault, letting the past get to me, making react like I did."

"Baby, you don't have to be sorry. I am the one that is sorry I let him near you."

"I wanted to talk to you, and you weren't in your office and he was there when I got out."

"From now on you have a guard with you wherever you go. Do you hear me?"

"I had a guard with me I was near your office, so I let them get lunch." Through tears that are still coming down. "Please don't be mad at me."

"I am not mad at you."

"Then can you stop yelling at me? Yu are losing your temper with me a lot lately."

"I didn't mean to yell at you, I just want to tear him apart."

"Hug me and tell me you love me."

"Baby, I love you. Never forget that. Do you want me to throw them out?"

"I can't throw Alpha Kevin out of the hospital; he is still sick. He didn't hurt me. Maybe it was just my fear, I want you next to me while they are here."

Papa Charley came in seeing me crying, "What happened?"

"That bastard touched her." Anthony growled. He grabbed her arm holding her in place.

"What!!!!!! Did you kill him?"

"I can't kill the fucker. I want you to stick to her like glue when I can't, she is never to be left alone." Anthony is yelling trying to hold back his wolf from attacking Drew.

"I will go with her from now on. If that bastard comes near her I will break his arm off and shove it up his ass."

"You would to, my big strong Papa Charley." My eyes light up with joy knowing how much he loves me.

A knock comes on the door, Charley goes to get it. When he opens it Drew is standing there. All you hear is a loud growl. What do you want?

"I came to apologize I didn't mean to upset your Luna. I thought she didn't hear me, and I just wanted to get her attention. All I wanted to know was how we pay for the treatment. I am so very sorry. I would never hurt her. She has my father up and walking. I am truly sorry please don't stop helping him because of my mistake."

"They heard you, they are not going to stop helping your father." Papa Charley tells him he is still angry.

Anthony comes to the door, "My wife told me that she was fine and that it might have been a misunderstanding. She is laying down we will see you at dinner tonight." Then he closes the door in his face.

"Baby, I want you to stay home and get some sleep. I'll go to the hospital have Bonnie take care of that, unfinished paperwork. I will be back shortly. Uncle Charley, you stay with her please?"

"I'm right here. Go I will take care of my little one. Do you want me to call your mother to come over?"

"No thank you, I just want to get some sleep. This pregnancy is taking a lot out of me. It is a lot with all I have to do." Melody can't sleep, "Harmony, do you think it would be safe for us to shift and take a run? I got to get rid of some of this stress."

"Yeah, we can shift the pups are fine, they are still small so shifting will be safe. I could use a good stretch myself." Melody walks down the stairs and out the back door, shifts and they take off running through the woods, feeling the earth beneath their feet and the wind in their fur.

"This is what I needed. We need to run more often, Harmony."

After we have the pups, it would be nice to make time for this. Between taking care of people and the pups you don't have much time, but I am always here with you." Melody rests in the back of Harmony's mind as Harmony just runs.

Drew is pissed as he goes to where Micheal and Eric are, "I can't believe I was so stupid; I blew it."

"What did you do?" Micheal sounding a little panicked.

"I was talking to Melody, and she went to walk off on me, and I grabbed her arm and pulled her around."

"What happened next?" Eric now sounding as panicked as Micheal.

"Anthony came in, saw my hand on Melody and he lost it. Downright lost it. I didn't fight back just let him push me around. I have to get my father better first before I try and get her."

"Are they going to still treat him?"

"I went to their house and told them I just wanted to ask something, and she didn't hear me, so I meant no harm. I said that I wanted to know how much they wanted for the stay and dad's treatment. They told me that it was fine, and he can stay, he slammed the door in my face though."

Micheal rubbing his chin, "We have to do something to relieve the anger. I just don't know what."

"Why don't we take them out to dinner and offer to stay off pack land and just come to visit your dad daily until we can go home." Eric says.

"That is not a bad idea it might just work." Drew says, "I'll tell them at the bonfire tonight."

"Why don't we take a run and let out the stress we have from this whole damn situation."

"Normally, I would not shift on another Alpha's pack but we need this. Eric, for once I think you are right let's shift, as long as we are ready for the bonfire they are having." The three men leave the pack house, walk to the woods, shift and start running. They run in the direction of Melody's house.

Melody is enjoying her time just relaxing, there is a small stream, Harmony stops to get a drink. They then lay there just enjoying the warm sunny day. Suddenly they hear branches snap, "Harmony, somebody's here we should head back."

"I hear them. They're not pack members, they smell different. But they are not rogues."

"I'm going to mind link Papa Charley, to tell him I'm in trouble."
