"You should at least go introduce yourself Kacchan."
"Yeah, sure and I can introduce you to my fist."
"Come on...she's pretty, she's talented and did you see her quirk? It was almost just like yours with those tiny explosions."
Izuku had his notebook on his lap, legs dangling off one of the buildings overlooking the city. Bakugou clicked with his tongue in disapproval, "she is too quiet."
Izuku peeked up from his writing and cocked an eyebrow. "When have you been interested in more chatty people? I thought you hated loud environments."
Bakugou sat down next to him and snatched his notebook with a smirk. Izuku protested as Katsuki held it high, away from his reach.
"It's boring," Katsuki replied simply. Izuku pouted then snatched his notebook from behind with a wild black whip. He pulled it safely back in his arms with a frustrated Katsuki glaring and mumbling, "Stupid polyquirker."
Deku huffed a laugh and wagged his finger at him, "don't start things you can't finish."
Bakugou leaned in, "yeah, well, then, what about you and round face, when have you talked to her last?"
Izuku shut his notebook with a sigh and put it aside.
"That's personal Kacchan."
Katsuki reeled away, "eh? What, you can try to hook me up with blonde sparkles down there but I can't ask about your last relationship?"
Izuku didn't respond and Katsuki leaned back, "that bad... man you must be a terrible boyfriend."
Izuku turned his head away from Katsuki toward the rising sun. Katsuki, frustrated, let off a pop from his palms, "oi stop ignoring me."
Izuku shook his head and drew in a leg. "I'm not... I'm listening." His voice cracked.
Katsuki frowned and grabbed the boys shoulder, "what the fuck-" Katsuki stopped when he saw the tears. He released his grip and his eyes found a sudden interest on the nearby hotel, watching a pro hero help a young girl inside. Izuku wiped the tears from his eyes and forced a smile, "we're just too busy is all. Being hero's is a full time job as you already know."
Izuku let his legs down and they swung back and forth, "she uh signed a contract outside of Japan, planning on helping other hopeful heroes aspire their dreams in underdeveloped countries." He leaned his head back, "she got a lot of money through the contract too. So she was finally able to get that house for her family. Did you know that was her dream as a hero?" Katsuki was quiet as Izuku continued, "anyway, it's remote... and we can't keep in contact." He hesitated, "we're just really busy."
Bakugou looked back up in his direction then shook his head, "shit Deku... what fucking episode am I on? You're like a walking sitcom with her by this point."
Deku cracked a smile, "yeah I guess that's one way of looking at it."
There was a pause and both the boys just stared in their general direction until Izuku choose to look back out into the city, he could see the time against the wall of the hotel, they had about ten more minutes left on their break.
"So if you had a choice...would you have gone?"
"Huh?"
"With round face...would you have gone with her if she offered?"
Izuku hesitated then shook his head, "she did offer."
Katsuki stared and Izuku sighed his voice quiet, "I turned her down."
"What..? Fucking- why would you..? I thought you two were like starstruck lovers or some stupid shit, the way you two danced together back in high school or teamed up during those senior year exercises..." Bakugou stammered then added a quick, "...not that I actually give a shit or anything."
