Chapter 22: Your Life Was A Shooting Star
Brielle's POV
*One Month Later*
My parents and I were walking up to the venue. I saw Andy standing outside, his back to us. A smirk crawled onto my face as I started sprinting. I leaped and jumped onto his back, wrapping my arms and legs around him. He stumbled and caught himself, his hands flying up to grab my legs. I heard him chuckle and begin to spin me around. I giggled, clinging tighter to him so I wouldn't fall. He stopped spinning and let go of me, tapping my knees. I jumped down and he turned to look at me. He smiled and leaned down, placing a soft kiss on my lips. I kissed him back, closing the gap between our bodies. I tried to deepen the kiss but he pushed me away softly, his eyes looking into mine and then glancing at my parents. He let go of me and walked over to my parents.
"Hi! Nice to see you again." He said cheerily. He hugged my mom and shook my dad's hand.
"It's nice to see you again too, Andy. Thank you for inviting us. We're excited to see you in action." My mom smiled.
"Mom!" I groaned. "That was so cheesy."
"I'm excited for you guys to see me in action too." Andy chuckled. "I hope you enjoy yourselves tonight. Well, my parents are already at the restaurant, it's just a short walk that way. Shall we?" He said, pointing in the direction of the restaurant.
We started walking, Andy and I holding hands as my parents walked behind us. We showed up later than I usually get to Andy's shows. Andy had already done his sound check and meet and greet. I didn't want to force my parents to sit on the bus for hours with the band.
We got to the restaurant and my heart started to race. I was really hoping this would go well. I was hoping that our parents would like each other. I guess I was squeezing Andy's hand because he squeezed mine back. He looked down at me with a calming look. He mouthed the phrase 'it's okay' to me. I took a deep breath as he opened the front door. I walked in, my parents followed, and then Andy came in behind us. He grabbed my hand again and led us through the restaurant until we got to his parents' table.
"Brielle!" His mom said happily, standing up to hug me.
"Hi Amy." I said, hugging her back. I let her go and hugged Chris while Andy's mom went to go hug Andy. Chris gave Andy a quick hug and the two of them turned to face my parents.
"These are my parents, Brian and Christina." I introduced. They started shaking each other's hands and mumbling pleasantries. We all sat down and the waiter circled around. We ordered our drinks and then looked through the menu. We ordered our food and then turned our attention to each other.
"I just want to start off by saying how much we love Brielle. She is always so sweet and cheery." Amy complimented.
"Thank you. Andy is quite a gentleman, always making sure everyone is taken care of before himself." My mom said.
"So, had you ever heard of Black Veil Brides before Andy?" Chris asked.
"No, it's not quite the normal music we listen to." My mom laughed. "But, we are excited for the show tonight. From what Brielle tells us, it's quite the experience."
"I might be biased, but it is." Amy chuckled. Andy and I sat while the four of them began the boring conversations of what do you do for work, how you ended up in Ohio, and discussing likes and dislikes.
We finished up dinner and headed out of the restaurant. We walked back to the venue, just in time for Andy to start getting ready. We walked into the venue and got our parents settled side stage. I sat with them while Andy left to his dressing room to get ready. After a few minutes, my phone buzzed.
