Chapter 36: That Burned Out Way Too Fast

Andy's POV

"It's been 2 hours since they started her surgery! They told me 1 hour! What the fuck is going on?" I asked out loud.

"Andy, calm down." Sienna said, grabbing my arm as I stood up.

"No!" I said, yanking my arm out of her grip. I walked up to the reception desk and got a nurse's attention.

"Excuse me. I need an update on my fiancé, Brielle Adams. She was supposed to be out of surgery an hour ago!"

"As soon as the doctors have an update, they will come tell you. I'm sorry sir."

"Bullshit." I growled, turning and walking back to Sienna. "How the fuck are they just going to let us sit like this? Wondering? Worrying?"

"Andy, you don't want them to rush and make a mistake, do you?" Sienna asked.

"No, I guess not." I grumbled. I sat for what felt like another hour, but it was really only five minutes.

"Mr. Biersack." The doctor from earlier said, walking over to me and sitting next to me.

"Hi, how is she?" I asked.

"We were able to stop the bleeding and get her stable. Unfortunately, we did have to remove the tube that burst, there was too much damage and she was bleeding too fast."

"Oh god." I sighed, putting my head in my hands. I felt Sienna put her hand on my back. "C-Can she still get pregnant?"

"Yes, her other tube was unaffected, so she will still be able to get pregnant."

"Oh thank god. S-So, she's okay?"

"Yes, she's stable and we are hoping she will make a complete recovery."

"Thank you, thank you so much." I said, tears rolling down my face.

"You're very welcome."

"When can I go see her?"

"We are getting her settled in recovery. Once she is set up, we will send someone out here to get you."

"Thank you. H-How long will she need to stay?"

"If she continues to stay stable, we can release her tomorrow morning. After that, it will be about six weeks of recovery. The first few weeks will be strict bedrest. As little movement as possible. She will eventually start to feel normal again and can move as the pain subsides. We will prescribe pain meds to help. Due to the bleeding, we had to open her abdomen which makes the recovery longer and harder."

"Thank you." I said again. I was just so grateful that she was okay. The doctor smiled and left the waiting room.

"See, she's okay." Sienna said, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"I'm so relived." I sighed, pushing my hair out of my face. I pulled my phone out and texted the guys an update. I also texted Brielle's parents in case they were already at the airport. I then called my parents.

"Andy, how's Brielle?" My mom asked when she answered the phone.

"She made it through surgery. They're getting her set up in her recovery room right now. They had to remove her entire tube."

"Oh Andy. I'm so glad she's okay."

"She's going to need six weeks for recovery."

"Do you need us to come out there?" She offered again.
