Chapter 32: Father's Day

Brielle's POV

*Two Months Later*

"I want to get married in Ohio." I told Andy as I looked out of the airplane window as the city came into view.

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah. I mean, both of our families are here. It's a place we both grew up. Compared to the support system we have in LA, Ohio obviously has more people. It just makes sense to me." I shrugged. He chewed on his lip as he looked at me. "Sorry, it was a stupid idea." I said, shaking my head.

"No, no. I like it." He said with a soft smile.

"Really?"

"Yes." He smiled, leaning over and kissing my cheek. "But I guess that cuts out the possibility of a winter wedding." He laughed.

"Yeah." I chuckled. Our plane landed and we walked into the airport. We got our bags and went to get our rental car. Andy loaded our bags into the car while I got in the passenger seat. He got in the driver's seat and pulled out of the lot, driving to his parents' house. We were in town for Father's Day. We were spending today with Andy's parents and staying the night at their house. Tomorrow, we were all meeting up with my parents for a big Father's Day lunch. After lunch, we were going to my parent's house and spending the rest of the day and Monday with them before flying home on Tuesday.

We pulled into Andy's parents' driveway and Andy put the car in park. I took a deep breath before getting out of the car. Andy pulled our luggage out of the trunk and we walked up to the front door.

"My kids!" Amy exclaimed as she opened the door and pulled us both into a hug. I smiled at her phrase as she let go of us.

"Hi Amy." I smiled.

"Pshh, call me mom!" She said with a large smile.

"Mommm." Andy groaned.

"What? She's going to be my daughter and I absolutely can't wait." Amy said as she grabbed my hands and gave them a small squeeze. "Well come in, come in." She said, opening the door wider and stepping to the side. We walked in and Andy carried our luggage up to our room while I walked to the living room with Amy.

"Brielle!" Chris smiled, standing up from the couch and hugging me.

"Hi Chris." I said, hugging him back. I heard footsteps on the stairs and turned to see Andy.

"Hey son." Chris smiled as he walked over to Andy and hugged him.

"Hey dad." Andy said. We all sat down on the couches in the living room and Amy turned to me.

"Let me see that ring." She said. I held out my hand and she grabbed it, turning my hand slightly to see the diamonds sparkle in the light. "Absolutely beautiful, you did an amazing job Andy." She said.

"Yes he did." I smiled, looking at him.

"Thank you." Andy said.

"So, any wedding plans?" His mom asked.

"Nothing concrete." I said, shaking my head.

"Nothing wrong with that! Enjoy your engagement! It's such a special time." She smiled.

*The Next Day*

"May." I said as we drove to lunch.

"May?" Andy chuckled, taking a quick look at me before turning back to the road.

"I want to get married in May."

"That's quick." He laughed.

"I'm just so ready to be your wife." I said.
