Chapter 43: Wedding Dress Shopping
Brielle's POV
*One Week Later*
"Have fun and pick out the most beautiful dress." Andy said, holding my face in his hands as he kissed me.
"I'll try." I giggled.
"Well, I tell you a little secret, any dress you pick will be the most beautiful dress." He smirked, causing me to giggle again. We were in Ohio for one of the busiest weeks of our lives. We flew out our entire wedding party. Today, my girls and I were going wedding dress shopping, and then tomorrow was our engagement party. Oh, and it's also the week before Christmas.
My mom, Andy's mom, my bridal party, my aunt, and my cousin all piled into cars and drove off to the dress shop we had an appointment at. We parked and walked in to the building.
"Hello, how can I help you?" The woman behind the podium asked with a cheery smile.
"Hi, I have an appointment to search for a wedding dress. Brielle Adams."
"Right here. Go ahead and take a look around, your consultant will be with you in a moment." She smiled. We all dispersed, going to look at different dresses around the store.
"Brielle?" I heard a voice call. I peeked out of the racks I was in to a seem a woman looking around.
"Right here." I said. She smiled and walked over to me.
"Hi, I'm Amanda and I will be your consultant today. If you want to gather your party, I'll show you to your dressing room." She said. I called everyone over and then we walked to an area with about 20 dressing rooms, mirrors on every surface. We managed to find a chair for everyone and Amanda started scrolling through her tablet.
"Alright, when is your wedding date?"
"May 11th."
"Beautiful time, are you getting married locally?"
"Yeah. My fiancé and I currently live in LA but are both from here, so it's just easier to have it here so more of our family can make it."
"What are your wedding colors?"
"Burnt Sienna and Gold." I said and I heard Sienna chuckle. "Can I help you?" I laughed, looking at hurt.
"Nothing, just of course, only you would pick Bengals colors, but a color named after your best friend."
"Shh." I laughed, turning my attention back to Amanda.
"What kind of dresses were you thinking of? Styles? Cuts? Fits?"
"I'm not really sure. I know I want something that's really fitted. You know, show off my curves. Definitely long and white." I winked.
"Oh, that I can do." Amanda laughed. "Can I get some quick measurements?" She asked and I nodded, standing up. She took out her measuring tape and got a relative size for me. "Give me a minute to go look and I'll bring back a few options." She said as she disappeared. She came back with 3 dresses and hung them up on the rack outside of the dressing room.
"Let's try this one first." She said, grabbing the first dress. She opened the door to the dressing room and I walked in first, Amanda following me in and closing the door. She hung the dress on the hook in the dressing room and turned so her back was to me.
"I'm going to get your dress ready, go ahead and undress and I'll help you get this on." She said. I pulled off the clothes I was wearing and Amanda helped me slip the dress on. Once I was secured in the dress, she opened the door and we walked out. I stood up on the pedestal and Amanda helped fix the train on the dress.
