Chapter 29: Procedure

Brielle's POV

*One Week Later*

"Are you sure you don't need me to come with you?" He asked as I picked up my car keys.

"I'm sure, I'm going to be fine." I said with a smile.

"Bri, this is essentially surgery!"

"Like the most minor of surgeries. I'm a big girl, I can do it." I reassured him.

"Okay, call me if you change your mind." He said with a worried look on his face.

"Okay, I will. I promise." I laughed, kissing his lips and walking out of the door. I got into the car and drove to my doctor's office. I walked in and up to the reception desk.

"Appointment for Brielle Adams." I told the woman behind the desk.

"You're all checked in! Take a seat and a nurse will be with you soon." She said cheerfully. I nodded and sat down. After about five minutes of waiting, a door opened.

"Brielle?" I stood up and walked up to the nurse with a smile. "Follow me." She said, leading me into the hallway behind her. She took my height and weight before leading me to a room. She stood behind a computer and started typing on the keyboard, asking me the normal questions.

"Is there any chance you are pregnant?" The nurse asked.

"I just took a test a few weeks ago." I said, shaking my head.

"Have you had sex since then?"

"I mean, yes, b-"

"Okay, then we'll just do a quick pregnancy test before the procedure, just to double check." She said as she grabbed a specimen cup and handed it to me. I sighed and stood up, walking to the nearest bathroom. I peed in the cup and left it in the bathroom, walking back into the room. I waited for about ten minutes before the nurse returned.

"It was negative!" She said and I rolled my eyes.

"Like I knew it would be." I mumbled.

"The doctor will be in shortly." She said, leaving the room. I waited for about 5 minutes before the door opened.

"Hello Brielle, are we ready to get started?" She asked as she walked to the sink and washed her hands.

"Yup!" I said with a smile.

"I'm back!" I called, walking into the house.

"Hi! How was it? Are you okay? Did it hurt?"

"I'm fine." I laughed.

"C-Can I see it?" He asked nervously. I giggled and pulled the bandage away from my arm where I had just gotten my birth control implant. "OH MY GOD!" He exclaimed.

"Andy, I'm fine." I reassured.

"That bruise is huge! Oh my poor baby!" He comforted, wrapping me in his arms.

"Andy, it's seriously no big deal! Plus, now we can have fun time without any worries." I winked with a laugh, kissing him as I stuck the bandage back onto my arm.

"Ooh, so I can throw out the condoms?" He asked with a wink.

"No, I still need the extra line of defense." I laughed and he fake pouted. "I love you Andy."

"I love you too Brielle." He said, kissing me deeply.
