Chapter 101: Home Away From Home

Andy's POV

*One Month Later*

After dropping off Madi at school, I swung by Sienna's house because she had asked me to come over. I knocked at the door and waited for them to open the door.

"Hey Andy," Sienna smiled, pulling me into a hug.

"Hey," I greeted, hugging her back. We let go and she stepped aside so I could walk through the front door. Sterling came around the corner, standing next to Sienna.

"We wanted to show you something," Sienna said as she began to ascend the stairs. Sterling followed her and I followed behind them. We took a left and went all the way down the hallway. Sienna opened the door to the spare bedroom, allowing me to walk in.

I looked around, noticing it was a child's bedroom decorated in Disney Princess theme. I raised my eyebrow, trying to figure out why they had brought me here. I knew it wasn't Brianna's room because I had been in her room many times to drag Madi out of there. I was about to ask what was going on when some framed pictures on the wall caught my eye.

It was a picture of Brielle and I. Next to it was another framed picture of Madi and Brianna. The last picture below the other two was of me on stage with Madi in my arms.

"Uhm..." I started but trailed off, none of the pieces connecting in my brain.

"We know you'll be going on tour soon, and we wanted to offer to watch Madi. This is her room," Sienna explained.

"I couldn't possibly-"

"They're the same age, they go to the same school, they're best friends. It won't be any extra work to look after her for a few months," Sterling reassured me.

"Madi is an angel, you've done such a good job with raising her, I'm sure she won't be a problem at all," Sienna said. "Please let us take this stress off of your plate. She hasn't been without you in a while and I think it'll be easier if she has Brianna to focus on instead of you being gone."

"This means so much to me, you guys," I said with tears in my eyes.

"You and Brielle gave me a room in your home, it's only right for me to offer your daughter a room in my home."

"This is amazing, thank you," I said, hugging them.

"We will always be here for you and Madi," Sienna said, hugging me back.

After school, I took Madi out to eat at her favorite restaurant. I hadn't yet told her about me going on tour without her, and figured I should tell her sooner rather than later. Afterwards, I'd be taking her to Sienna's house to see the room they created for her.

"So Madi, you know how part of daddy's job is going around the country and playing music?" I asked.

"Yeah, I love tour," she said with a giggle.

"Well, I have another one coming up in January. That's three months away," I said, holding up three fingers. She stopped eating and looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Am I going to miss school?" she asked, a disappointed look on her face.

"No, you can't miss school. That's the thing, you can't come on tour with me this time," I explained.

"What?" she asked, tears welling up in her eyes.

"I'm sorry baby, but you have to go to school. There's going to have to be a lot of times coming up where you can't join me on tour."

"But-but, what about me?" she asked. I knew she was trying to ask who would be watching her.

"That's actually my surprise that I'm taking you to next. Let's hurry up and eat, okay?" I asked and she nodded as she sadly ate her food.

We finished our dinner and I drove us over to Sienna's house. I turned around to look at her in the backseat.

"Brianna's house?" she asked, confused.

"Just trust me," I said as I got out of the car. She climbed out and I grabbed her hand as we walked up to the front door. I knocked and Sienna quickly opened.

"Hi Madi! Are you ready for your surprise?" Sienna asked and Madi nodded. Sienna took her hand and led her upstairs as I followed. Sienna opened the door and let Madi rush in.

"This is your room while I'm on tour. Your home away from home," I explained.

"What?" Madi asked, turning to look at us.

"You're going to stay with us while your dad is working," Sienna said.

"How do you like your room?" I asked.

"I LOVE IT!" she screamed. Brianna popped out of her room and ran into the room we were all in. The girls giggled and danced with each other as they realized they would be basically having a really long sleepover.

*Three Months Later*

"Alright bug, it's time for me to go," I said as Madi and I stopped outside of security at the airport.

"I don't want you to leave," Madi said as she started crying. I picked her up and held her close, holding back my own tears.

"I don't want to leave either, but I'll be back before you know it. I promise," I tried to reassure her. This was somehow harder than the first time I left her. "We'll talk every night and you'll get to come to the LA show. You're going to be so busy with school and Brianna that you'll forget I'm even gone."

"I'll never forget you daddy," she cried into my shoulder. I felt my already broken heart shatter into a million pieces, a few tears escaping my eyes.

"You're going to be okay, I promise," I said, rubbing her back.

"I love you daddy."

"I love you too baby girl. Be good for Sienna and Sterling please," I said, pulling her away from me so I could look her in the eyes.

"I promise," she said with a nod as she held out her pinky finger. I smiled and curled my pinky around hers.

"I love you bug," I said, kissing her forehead.

"I love you too daddy," she said as she kissed my cheek. I placed her on the ground and she walked over to where Sterling was waiting. I waved goodbye and then forced myself to join the security line.

Don't mind me, currently mourning the fact that I'm supposed to be seeing FIR and BVB in Houston tonight but I'm not there.
