Chapter 24: Christmas

Brielle's POV

*One Month Later*

"Brielle!" My mom exclaimed as she opened the door. I smiled and hugged her as she hugged me back. "Andy!" She exclaimed, hugging him. "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas." We said with a smile. We had flown in to Cincinnati for Christmas. Today was the 23rd and we would be spending today and tomorrow with my family. We would leave Christmas morning and spend Christmas Day and Andy's birthday with his parents.

While I hated to need to travel for the holidays, it was nice to be able to see both of our families and not have to choose between seeing one or the other. It would definitely make it easier with kids. Kids? Did I just say that?

We walked into the house, Andy dragging our luggage behind us. He took the suitcases upstairs to our room. We spent the rest of the day with my parents as family members slowly started to arrive. We went out to dinner and then came back home. We went straight to bed, knowing tomorrow was going to be a long day.

Andy and I woke up the next morning around the same time.  We got out of bed and got dressed. I wore a red velvet dress that had sleeves and went down to my mid thigh. I wore black tights underneath and had black flats.

Andy was wearing his classic outfit, a black long sleeve shirt, black jeans, and black boots

Andy was wearing his classic outfit, a black long sleeve shirt, black jeans, and black boots. We walked downstairs to see my mom finishing up breakfast. We sat at the table, my family joining us one by one. We ate breakfast, making small talk with my family. After breakfast, we sat around the house, talking. This was the first time Andy was meeting the rest of my family, so a lot of the questions were directed towards him. They had convinced him to pull up some of his band's music and even some recorded performances.

"You guys are really good." My aunt told him.

"Thank you." He said, blush rising on his cheeks. "It's nice to be able to live my dream every day."

"You definitely look happy on stage." My cousin said.

"It's one of my favorite places in the world. The other one being anywhere Brielle is, of course." He said with a cheesy smile.

"Oh shut up." I laughed, smacking his arm.

"Awh that's so cute!" My cousin swooned.

"When are you guys getting married already? We just met you Andy and we already know you are perfect for Brielle!" My other cousin exclaimed.

"The time will come." He laughed. "We're enjoying just getting to know each other. We don't feel the need to rush anything." He said, grabbing my hand and looking at me with a soft look. It wasn't long before my mom and her sisters stood up to start cooking Christmas Eve dinner. I wanted to go help to escape this questioning, but I didn't want to throw Andy to the wolves and let him deal with the questioning on his own.
