Chapter 102
Andy's POV
*One Month Later*
"DADDY!" Madi screamed as she ran to me. I picked her up and swung her around, causing her to giggle. I rested her on my hip and kissed her forehead.
"Oh sweetie, I missed you so much," I said, giving her a tight hug.
"I missed you too daddy," she said, hugging me back. We had talked on the phone or video chatted every day, but it's not the same. My heart finally felt whole again as I held my little girl in my arms.
"Have you liked your long sleepover with Brianna?" I asked her.
"Yeah!"
"That's good," I said with a smile as I put her back on her feet. I greeted Sienna and her family before turning back to Madi.
"Come on, let's go say hi to the guys," I said, grabbing her hand and leading her to the bus. I opened the door to the bus and walked in with Madi and Sienna's family behind me.
"Guess who's here!" I announced as Madi came running around the corner.
"MADI!" CC exclaimed, getting off the couch and opening his arms. She jumped into them and he held her close. "I missed you girly!" he said.
"I missed you too Uncle CC," she giggled.
"Man, we didn't realize how used to touring with Madi we got until she wasn't here," Jake said.
"Well, I've got to go to school," Madi said in a sassy tone.
"My bad, my bad," Jake laughed, holding his hands up in surrender. The guys greeted Sienna and her family too. We hung out on the bus for a little bit before we all decided to go out to dinner. We got seated at a nearby restaurant and ordered our food. I was seated on one end with Sienna and her family while the guys were seated on the other end. Madi had elected to sit between CC and I.
"So, we have some exciting baby news," Sienna said to me with a smile.
"What's that?" I asked. They had found out a few months ago that they would be having a boy.
"We settled on a name," Sienna said happily.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Brian Andrew Davis," Sienna said happily. I was about to compliment the name but then stopped, raising my eyebrow at the name. "Brian as another tribute to Brielle, and Andrew after you," Sienna explained.
"You named him after me?" I asked, looking between the two of them.
"Of course, you mean so much to us Andy," Sienna said.
"Bro, I'm so sorry that my family is controlling the names of your kids," I laughed, looking at Sterling.
"It was a mutual decision," Sterling said with a genuine smile.
"That means a lot to me you guys, thank you so much," I said, wiping away a stray tear.
After dinner, we went to the venue. Sienna and Sterling watched the girls while we all got ready for the stage. When I came back out, the girls already had their noise-cancelling headphones on. I hung out with Madi for a bit before it was time to go on stage. We ran through our set list and then it was time for our last song, In The End.
As always, I ran off to the side and grabbed Madi, bringing Brianna with her. I set both girls up on the risers and finished out the song, putting the mic near them to let me finish out the last few words. I walked off stage with the girls, the two giggling with each other.
Once everything was cleared out of the venue, we were able to head back to the bus. I picked Madi up and carried her as I followed Sienna and Sterling to their car.
"Please don't leave daddy," Madi cried, burying her face into my neck.
"I'll be back soon, I promise," I said, my voice cracking a little.
"I don't want you to leave."
"You'll be okay, I promise. Keep being good for Sienna, okay?" I asked and she gave me a small nod. I gave her a kiss on the forehead before strapping her into her car seat. "I love you Madi-bug,"
"I love you too daddy," she said, giving me one last hug. I said goodbye to Sienna and her family before walking back to the bus. I let the tears I had been holding back fall as I made the long walk back. I wiped my face before ascending the stairs into the bus.
"You good?" CC asked as I was trying to hide my face.
"It never gets easier," I said, shaking my head. "I'm going to bed," I said, disappearing into the bunks.
*Two Months Later*
I was scanning the baggage claim area for my tiny blonde-haired daughter. I finally spotted her and started weaving through people on the escalator. Once my feet touched the tile floor, I started sprinting to where she was standing.
"DADDY!" Madi screamed as she saw me at the last second. I scooped her up and clutched her close to my body as her tiny limbs wrapped around my body. "I missed you so much," she cried.
"I missed you too baby girl," I said as I stroked her hair.
"Never leave again."
"I can't promise that, but I'm going to be here for a little while," I reassured her.
"I love you daddy."
"I love you too baby girl, you are my world," I told her as I placed a kiss on her forehead.
