Chapter 83: It's A Beautiful Pain

Andy's POV

*One Week Later*

I sat in the front row, arms crossed over my chest, staring at the front of the room. I watched as people lined up, paying respects to my wife. I had been here for 30 minutes and still hadn't mustered the courage to look at my wife lying in her coffin. I just wanted to get this funeral over with.

"Andy," I heard a voice. I turned to see my band and their wives walking towards me. I forced a small smile, standing and hugging them. Each one gave me a few words of condolence as they hugged me, but I was so numb, it was like they said hello.

"How's your daughter?" Jinxx asked.

"Getting better, she's starting to gain weight," I said quietly, barely able to make eye contact with them.

"Did you decide on a name?" Lonny asked.

"Madeline Brielle," I said, her name still bringing a genuine smile to my face.

"Isn't that the first name Brielle liked?" Alice asked and I nodded.

"I had to name her on my own, so I figured it would be best to honor her mother," I shrugged.

"It's beautiful," CC's wife, Alex, smiled at me.

"Thank you, we've been calling her Madi," I said. "I go see her everyday. I'm hoping she'll be released in a few weeks."

The guys said hi to my parents, who were sitting next to me, before the group went up to go pay their respects. I sat back down in my seat and let out a big breath. All I wanted was to blend in. I didn't want to talk to anyone, but that's all I've been doing today. It was expected but so frustrating.

I reached my hand up and toyed with Brielle's ring that was hanging around my neck on a chain. I wanted a piece of her with me today, to feel like she was with me. I reached into my pocket and played with the edges of the paper that was neatly folded and placed into the pocket of my pants. I was one of the ones speaking today and knew I had to write my thoughts down or I would break down at the microphone. Finally, the minister stood up to begin the funeral.

"We are here today to celebrate the life of Brielle Marie Adams Biersack," the minister started. I sat and listened as he spoke to everyone in attendance, the order of events familiar to what we talked about just a week ago. He began with her eulogy, which was written by her parents. It was a very short snapshot of her life, which was cut short. The minister started with the basics, when she was born and what she was like as a child. It flowed into her teenage years, her college years, and her move to Los Angeles.

"She met her husband at the place she loved the most, Paycor Stadium, where her beloved Cincinnati Bengals play. Their meeting was a twist of fate, her future husband, Andy, spilling soda all over her. This one mistake led to a lifetime of love in just a few years. Brielle was head over heels in love with Andy, their love quickly growing. It wasn't long before they were engaged, and then married," the minister read. I smiled slightly, memories with Brielle flashing through my mind.

"Brielle is survived by her husband, Andy, daughter, Madeline, parents, Brian and Christina," the minister continued to read, rattling the various family members her mom had included. The minister continued to speak, giving his sermon and adding in a few of the stories we had shared with him.

"I'd like to invite Brielle's husband, Andy Biersack, up to speak," he said, stepping down from the microphone. I took a deep breath and stood up. I walked to the podium that the microphone was sitting on and took another deep breath. I pulled out the paper from my pocket, unfolded it, and laid it on the podium.
