Meanwhile, in another room, Fu Xiao had already woken up.

She put on the new clothes she had taken out the day before: a white round-neck top and black straight-leg pants.

Hearing footsteps in the hallway, she opened the door.

Fu Yu, who was about to knock, saw his little sister at the door and smiled warmly. "Sister, you're up? Hurry up and get ready; it's time for breakfast."

The round-neck top made her look exceptionally sweet, and Fu Yu felt his heart soften.

"Brother, give me a few minutes..."

She turned back, took out her toothbrush from the suitcase, brushed her teeth, and washed her face.

After a quick freshen-up, she followed Fu Yu into the next room.

Upon entering, she saw her third uncle reading a book and another man who resembled him setting the table.

As soon as they saw her, they turned their attention to her.

Fu Weilun put down his book and introduced her gently, "Xiao Xiao, this is your Uncle."

Fu Xiao looked at the excited man beside him and called out, "Uncle..."

Fu Weibao, seeing his little niece's confused expression and hearing her soft voice, felt a wave of excitement.

"Good girl, come over and eat. Your Auntie made dumplings this morning for you."

Fu Xiao nodded and sat down at the table, behaving sweetly.

The cute and gentle girl was hard not to love.

Fu Weibao struggled to resist the urge to pinch her cheek, feeling joyful inside.

Finally, there was a little girl in the family. He and his wife had hoped for a daughter when they were expecting their third child, but they were disappointed when another boy was born. Now, their wish had come true, and he intended to cherish her like his own daughter.

With a beaming smile, he watched his niece eat. The way she ate slowly, savoring each bite with her cheeks puffed up, was simply adorable.

After Fu Xiao finished her breakfast, Fu Weibao quickly moved to offer her more food. "Xiao Xiao, there's still some left. Have some more."

Fu Xiao shook her head, indicating she was full. Fortunately, he didn't insist; she was genuinely full from the large, hearty dumplings.

Fu Weibao poured her a cup of water from the teapot and watched her drink with a smile.

His gaze shifted to his eldest son, who was greedily eating dumplings. His smile quickly turned into a frown. "Fu Yu, finish up and wash the dishes."

After eating the last dumpling, Fu Yu wiped his mouth expressionlessly and got up to clean the dishes outside.

Once he had finished and returned with a cup of water, his third uncle said, "Let's head back to the village."

"It's time to go. We shouldn't leave the cart out for too long," Fu Weibao said.
