After finishing breakfast, the three of them set out with their supplies. Each brother carried a backpack, while Fu Xiao only had a small bag to carry herbs.

At the gate, Li Xiufen watched their backs with concern as they walked away, and she asked Grandpa Fu, who was standing beside her, "Dad, why did you agree to let Xiao Xiao go? The deep mountains are no joke."

"That child is just like her grandfather, daring and bold," Grandpa Fu replied in a calm tone. "But Xiao Xiao is even more capable than her grandfather. She only asks to go places she believes she can handle. We can't hold her back. That child is destined for great things and won't easily run into trouble. Just trust her."

"But..." Li Xiufen hesitated to voice her inner concerns as she watched Grandpa Fu turn to enter the house. She sighed heavily, casting a worried glance at the three children walking away, before following Grandpa Fu back inside.

Seeing Fu Weibai lounging leisurely in the courtyard, Li Xiufen felt irritated and went over to give him a sharp pinch on his waist. Fu Weibai's face twisted in pain, but he still tried to comfort her, "Dear, don't worry. I can assure you that Dad is the smartest person in our family. If he agreed, nothing will go wrong."

Li Xiufen huffed and went into the room.

What could Fu Weibai do? He had no choice but to follow her and try to console her...

As they reached the outskirts of the mountains, Fu Xiao sprinkled herbal powder on all three of them to ward off snakes, insects, and rodents.

The three of them moved quickly, taking well-trodden paths. Soon, they reached the edge of the deep mountains. Fu Xiao, full of excitement, was the first to jump over a deep ditch and slowly climbed up.

Fu Hong followed closely behind, his cat-like eyes sparkling with excitement.

Fu Yu shook his head helplessly and trailed behind them.

After crossing the ditch, they didn't walk far before realizing the terrain became more difficult. There were many weeds and thorns, so they carefully chose paths that were easier to walk through.

Along the way, they encountered many wild chickens and rabbits but didn't catch any. This time, Fu Xiao's target was herbs, and catching wild chickens could wait until they were on their way back.

This place, untouched by humans, truly was a virgin land. The forest was even denser, with the trees so thick that barely any sunlight filtered through, creating a world of green.

The deeper they went, the more Fu Xiao felt that this dense forest was a treasure trove. There were indeed many herbs. She ignored those of lesser quality and focused on finding more precious ones.

In a low-lying area, she found a thick agarwood tree, which seemed to be at least a hundred years old. Under the tree was a large piece of agarwood. When she got closer, she could even smell its fragrance. Naturally formed agarwood is a valuable item, so she carefully took it down and placed it in her basket.

Just as she put the item away, she heard Fu Hong shout, "Xiao Xiao, come look at this!"

Fu Xiao thought something had happened to him and rushed over, only to see him crouching under a large tree. Seeing her approach, his face lit up with excitement, "Sis, look, is this ginseng?"

Fu Xiao looked down at the base of the tree, and it was indeed ginseng. She crouched down and gently cleared away the leaves around it, then looked up with a smile, saying, "Second Brother, it is indeed ginseng. You're quite lucky..."
