After examining everything, even Fu Xiao was a bit puzzled. Was such an enormous quantity of items really necessary for just an antidote?

She tugged at Fu Yu's sleeve and whispered, "Big brother, is the Shen family really this wealthy?"

Fu Yu smiled and replied, "I'm not sure about the specifics, but I've heard that the Shen family has been renowned merchants for generations. I guess this is just a drop in the ocean for them."

"So, shall we accept it?" Fu Xiao hesitated.

Fu Yu nodded, "It's only natural to accept something from him. After all, Xiao Xiao saved his life. It's perfectly reasonable."

"However... Xiao Xiao, let's keep these things here for now. They shouldn't be exposed just yet. Since he said this place is safe, it should be fine."

Fu Xiao nodded obediently, but internally she thought: No place is entirely secure. Once Shen Xingzhou leaves, I'll find an opportunity to store these things safely.

Fu Xiao took out the medicinal herbs, leaving the rest behind.

With the herbs in hand, Fu Yu sealed up the boxes.

They left the hidden room, pressed the mechanism to close it, and followed the sound to find Shen Xingzhou in the living room.

Seeing them approach, Shen Xingzhou pushed two cups of tea towards them and said with a smile, "Xiao Xiao, are you satisfied with the consultation fee?"

Fu Xiao cleared her throat and took a sip of tea to mask her emotions. "It's alright."

"Good," Shen Xingzhou nodded, visibly relieved. He was glad she was happy.

Fu Xiao took out a better-quality antidote she had prepared and handed it to him. "Here's the antidote. One pill a day, and the poison will be cleared in a month."

Shen Xingzhou gratefully accepted it and thanked her again.

Fu Xiao looked up at him and said, "I'll give you a few more acupuncture treatments. After that, just follow the antidote schedule."

Since she had already accepted a substantial fee, she needed to provide good aftercare. She couldn't use her healing powers or spirit spring water, but she could use silver needles to help expel the poison.

Shen Xingzhou turned to Fu Yu. "Ah Yu, the study is outside. I've left some interesting books there."

Fu Yu looked at him thoughtfully, noticing his calm expression. He wanted to say something but didn't, instead turning to Fu Xiao with a smile. "Xiao Xiao, I'll be in the study. Call me if you need anything."

Fu Xiao took out her acupuncture kit and set it up on the table. She looked at Shen Xingzhou and said calmly, "If there's anything, just let me know."

Shen Xingzhou smiled and rolled up his sleeve to reveal his arm, signaling her to start the acupuncture.

Fu Xiao inserted several silver needles into various acupoints, finally placing one needle into a point at the back of his head.

After finishing, she sat opposite him and took a sip of tea.

Shen Xingzhou's eyes, filled with curiosity, were fixed on her face.

Feeling his gaze, Fu Xiao looked up. Noticing the inquisitive expression in his eyes, she furrowed her brows and asked, "Is there something you want to ask?"

With a smile, Shen Xingzhou cautiously inquired, "Xiao Xiao, why is your surname Fu?"

Fu Xiao gave him a cold glance and replied flatly, "What are you trying to find out?"
