Fu Weilun set down his teacup and continued calmly, "Your Second Uncle just called me. He saw someone at today's awards ceremony who looks a lot like you."

Hearing this, Fu Xiao remained silent. Another look-alike? If it's really the same person, it would be quite revealing. She asked, "Who is he? What's his surname?"

Fu Weilun narrowed his eyes. "His surname is Mu. He's the commander of our military district."

Fu Weilun paused, glancing at Fu Xiao. She seemed calm and not at all surprised. He asked, "Do you already know?"

At this moment, Fu Yu spoke up, "Third Uncle, we found out about this this morning."

"Oh?" Fu Weilun looked puzzled. "How did you know?"

"Shen Xingzhou saw this person when he was in the capital. He noticed our resemblance and had someone look into it."

Fu Xiao took out the documents Shen Xingzhou had given her and handed them to Fu Weilun.

Fu Weilun took the documents, read through them from beginning to end, and furrowed his brows. "He's quite bold to investigate this, and the information is accurate."

He placed the documents on the desk and looked at Fu Xiao, his tone gentle. "Xiao Xiao, what are your thoughts?"

Fu Xiao smiled softly. "Third Uncle, I don't have any particular thoughts. Let's see if we meet him in the future. Besides, it might just be a coincidence that we look alike. It may not necessarily be related to me."

Her real intention was to confirm the blood relation and then deal with the scumbag appropriately, but that couldn't be said out loud.

She was nearly certain that Mu Lianshen was the scumbag, but she still needed a DNA test to be sure. If they were merely related by blood and looked alike, it would be too awkward to act on the wrong target.

It had to be foolproof.

And she needed to understand how Mu and her mother ended up in their current situation.

Fu Weilun nodded, "Don't worry, Xiao Xiao. Even though our family's influence doesn't match his, Third Uncle is confident he won't bully you."

This wasn't just empty talk. High-ranking individuals are often very concerned about their reputation and wouldn't overtly use their power to intimidate a young girl. Moreover, protecting her within his own territory was feasible.

Fu Xiao smiled, "Third Uncle, I'm not afraid at all."

Fu Weilun nodded and patted her head, smiling. "How's your studying going? Are you confident about tomorrow's test?"

Fu Xiao confidently nodded. "Third Uncle, can I join Second Brother in the third year of junior high?"

Fu Weilun leaned back on the sofa, smiling. "No, at most you can be in the second year. The students in the third year are much older than you."

"Third Uncle, I'm not going to school just to make friends. I've almost finished all the second-year textbooks and have learned most of the material."

Fu Weilun pondered for a moment. "Let's see how you do on the test tomorrow."

Looking at the time, Fu Weilun turned to Fu Yu. "I'll come by the dormitory tomorrow to pick you up and go to school together. I need to talk to the principal."

Fu Yu nodded in understanding. Seeing Fu Weilun check the time repeatedly, he realized he had other business to attend to. He said, "Third Uncle, we'll head out now. Don't stay too late tonight. Come back early."
