By the time Fu Xiao arrived, there were already a few people waiting. Once Uncle Song arrived, everyone scrambled onto the ox cart to claim their spots. Fu Xiao, being quite popular, had a friendly auntie who saved them a few places.

When the ox cart reached the county entrance, it was almost ten o'clock. The siblings first wandered around the department store, then watched a movie. By the time the movie ended, it was nearly eleven. They planned to visit the photo studio in the afternoon.

As noon approached, they prepared to meet Fu Weilun for lunch.

On the way to the county committee office, Fu Sui said, "You guys go ahead and find Third Uncle. Hong Ge and I will head somewhere first. Let's meet at the state-run hotel afterwards."

He then pulled Fu Hong in another direction.

Looking at the quiet alley, Fu Sui was somewhat skeptical. "Fu Hong, are you sure there's good stuff here? It seems deserted."

Fu Hong gave him a look and knocked rhythmically on a courtyard door. After a few minutes, the door opened, and they entered, taking a route to the back courtyard. Inside, there were various stalls selling rare antiques and other oddities.

Fu Sui lowered his voice, "How did you find this place?"

"I came here once with a classmate," Fu Hong whispered. "You were worried about what to get your sister. This place has plenty of interesting things."

"Alright, let's have a good look around then."

They spent some time browsing the stalls.

Meanwhile, Fu Yu led his siblings to the county committee office. It was just around lunchtime, and many people were heading out for a meal.

After greeting the security guard, they made their way to Fu Weilun's office.

Upon entering, they found Fu Weilun on the phone, his deep voice carrying a hint of amusement. Fu Xiao listened, sensing it was just a casual political exchange.

Noticing their presence, Fu Weilun gestured for them to sit down.

A few minutes later, he hung up and approached them with a smile. "What brings you here at this time?"

Fu Yu smiled and said, "We're planning to go to the photo studio."

Fu Weilun paused his action of lighting a cigarette, raising an eyebrow. "A photo?"

Casually lighting his cigarette, he took a puff. "What made you decide to get a photo?"

Fu Yu added, "We're heading back soon and might not come again for a while. It's nice to have a photo as a keepsake. My parents haven't seen Xiao Xiao yet; they don't even know what she looks like."

Fu Weilun exhaled a puff of smoke, his gaze thoughtful. "When are you going? I'll join you."

Fu Yu suggested, "Let's have lunch first."

Fu Weilun nodded. "What about the two boys?"

"Not sure where they went. They said they'd meet us at the state-run hotel."

"Alright, let's head to the hotel first."

When they reached the hotel, Fu Sui and Fu Hong had already arrived. Seeing them, the staff began serving the meal.

Fu Hong couldn't help but grumble about Fu Sui. It was quite embarrassing to be thrown out in public like that.

"Second Brother, what kind of place did you go to?" Fu Xiao asked, curious.
