When she returned home and entered the backyard, she saw Grandpa Fu holding a knife, still skinning the rabbits, while Second Brother Fu was helping to bleed the dumb roe deer.

There was a large basin nearby, filled with a few skinned rabbits, dripping with blood.

Given Grandpa Fu's age, handling such a large workload was quite taxing, and sweat continuously dripped from his forehead.

Fu Xiao took the skinned rabbit from him, stopping his hand as it reached for the roe deer. "Grandpa, let Second Uncle handle the roe deer once he's finished work. You should rest. For lunch, wait for the chicken soup I'll make for you."

She poured some hot water into a wash basin and brought it to Grandpa Fu so he could wash his hands. She then helped him sit on a sun lounger and placed a cup of hot water infused with spiritual spring water on a small stool next to him.

Next, she took out the wild vegetables from her basket, separating the purslane from the amaranth, washed them clean, and called out to Second Brother Fu, who was preparing to pluck chicken feathers, "Second Brother, after you finish with the wild chicken, wash it clean and bring it to me."

Without looking up, Second Brother Fu responded, "Got it. Just wait and see. I'll make sure this chicken is spotless."

In the kitchen, she set aside the amaranth to drain and chopped the purslane. She grabbed a small amount of white flour from the flour bag in the cupboard. She only took a little to avoid suspicion, as the flour from the cupboard would be easily noticed if it wasn't used.

She used enough white flour from her space storage to mix with the purslane, preparing the dough. After several minutes of mixing, which was quite tiring, she noticed Second Brother Fu was still halfway through plucking feathers. She decided to use the dough machine in her space kitchen, set it up, and let it work with the spiritual spring water.

Outside, she continued with other preparations, facing away from the kitchen door.

After about ten minutes, the dough machine finished its work. She placed the dough into an outside bowl, covered it, and set it under the sun to rise. Realizing the family had already run out of two-component steamed buns, and with many family members who ate heartily, she decided to make some cornmeal buns. She added white sugar and milk to the cornmeal, ensuring they would taste good.

Using the dough machine, she timed it, adding spiritual spring water and setting it to work.

She drizzled some oil over the amaranth, added white flour, and set it aside.

After cleaning the kitchen's earthenware pot, she prepared to make chicken soup, gathering the ingredients including a ginseng root given to her by Fu Weiliang, which was over ten years old. It was perfect for making chicken soup.

With the dough machine's work done and the dough rising in the sun, she realized that one pot of chicken soup might not be enough for the noon meal. Since everyone was tired from working, she took out a rabbit from the large basin, planning to make spicy rabbit meat, and picked some greens from the backyard garden to make a stir-fry.

Returning from the garden, she saw Second Brother Fu was nearing the end of his task. She watched him for a while, and after he cleaned the chicken, she took it into the kitchen. The large chicken fit perfectly into the earthenware pot. She added all the herbs, some red dates, and spiritual spring water, then placed the pot on a small stove.

After everything was prepared, she called out to Second Brother Fu, who had just washed his hands, "Second Brother, come and start the fire."

"Coming..."
