After their conversation ended, the two went back to their rooms.

Fu Yu returned to his room, where Fu Sui was still awake, lying on the kang and engrossed in a comic book. When he saw Fu Yu come over, he tossed the book aside and asked, "What were you doing with Third Uncle in the backyard?"

"You saw us?" Fu Yu lay down under the covers and smiled, not answering his question.

"Yeah, I was going to the bathroom, but when I saw you two talking, I held it in."

Fu Sui noticed that Fu Yu's eyes were about to close, so he nudged him with his elbow. "What were you guys talking about... Come on, tell me."

Fu Yu chuckled with his eyes closed, then opened them and sat up, leaning against the headboard. "Third Uncle was talking about Xiaoxiao. It seems like he meant that we shouldn't let outsiders see Xiaoxiao's photo while we're in the Northwest."

Fu Sui frowned. "What does that mean?"

Fu Yu smiled faintly, "Brother, if Third Uncle didn't specifically remind us, what would you have done?"

"I would definitely show it off in front of those guys, especially that rascal Li Gou Dan, who keeps bragging about having a sister in front of me. Hmph, his sister, who only knows how to cry all the time, can't compare to my beautiful sister..."

Fu Yu was momentarily stunned, not knowing what to say. After a while, he slowly spoke, "Yes, a lovely sister. I also couldn't help but want to show her off. But Third Uncle said that doing so could cause her trouble. If he said this, does it mean Xiaoxiao's face resembles someone?"

He muttered to himself, "If it's an enemy, then could we end up hurting her?"

Fu Sui's voice tightened as he slowly shook his head. "Then we just won't show it off. We'll keep the photos at home and not let outsiders see them."

"We'll find out when we show Dad the photos and see his reaction."

After saying that, Fu Yu lay down and closed his eyes.

The conversation in the backyard and the discussion in the brothers' room were things that Fu Xiao, who was soaking in a bath in her space, was unaware of.

Her face, except for her eyes, did not resemble her mother's at all, so it must have come from that man. If she heard what they said, she would have guessed that the man she despised was in the Northwest.

But everyone in the family, without exception, kept this from her. Although she didn't know the details, everyone subconsciously felt she would be hurt and wanted to protect her.

In the following days, Fu Yu and Fu Hong didn't go to work in the fields. They took the two brothers out every day, one day hunting in the mountains, the next watching movies in town.

While hunting, they used the same method as last time and caught quite a few wild chickens and rabbits. The two brothers once again witnessed Fu Xiao's skills. The hunted game was turned into preserved chicken and rabbit, which they mailed back along with other things when they went to the post office in town to watch a movie.

Time passed quickly, and soon it was the night before the end of the month.

"Today is the last medicinal bath. After returning to the Northwest, just gradually increase your exercise," Fu Xiao said while removing the last acupuncture needle from his body.
