Zhai Yuyang helped Zhai Yumou back to his room.

Once inside, with the door shut, Zhai Yumou's previously warm expression turned icy. "Don't embarrass yourself in front of her again. Also, keep your distance from that girl from the Mu family."

Under Zhai Yumou's intense glare, Zhai Yuyang dared not argue. He carefully helped his brother into bed.

He gave a sheepish smile, attempting to curry favor. "Brother, we're classmates. How can I stay away from her?"

"Do you think she'll still be in your school in the future?"

Zhai Yuyang looked up at his brother, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"Don't worry about it. Just stay away from her in the future. If you continues to be used by others, you should stick with Uncle Jiu..." Zhai Yumou spoke with a smile that didn't reach his eyes, and then closed them.

Zhai Yuyang clearly feared his Uncle Jiu and didn't dare to be too presumptuous in front of his brother. He quietly left the room.

The afternoon passed quickly...

When Zhai Jiu emerged from the study, the sun was nearly setting. He looked up at the sky and instructed for dinner to be prepared.

After dinner, everyone relaxed in the courtyard, chatting for a while. As the sky grew darker, they each retired to their rooms.

Late at night, Fu Xiao donned her clothes and carefully exited the Zhai residence.

Given that it was a military district, she exercised extreme caution and scaled an unguarded wall.

Once outside the compound, she sensed no one nearby with her mental energy, and only then did she retrieve her bicycle from her space. She rode toward the location Mu Wanlan had mentioned.

It was a bit far out, in the suburban area. Upon leaving the city center, she switched to an electric vehicle, turned off the lights, and donned night vision goggles. In less than half an hour, she arrived at the specified location.

The place seemed ordinary from the outside, with no other houses nearby, making it quite remote.

Fu Xiao expanded her mental energy and confirmed there was no one around before entering.

She found everything Mu Wanlan had hidden, and it was clear that Mu Wanlan was a very ambitious woman. The hidden items were numerous, mostly gold and silver.

There were over a dozen boxes.

Interestingly, she also discovered a ledger hidden in a very discreet place, which listed names of people to whom Mu Wanlan had given gifts.

She wondered why there was such a detailed record of gift-giving.

Perhaps it was to secure more benefits, but the people on this list must now hate her...

What a loss...

She gathered all the items into her space, including the ledger.

As for the ledger, she needed to think carefully about how to handle it...

On her way back, she made a detour to the Qi residence, intending to search the study there for any additional useful information.

Upon arriving at the Qi house, the entire courtyard was shrouded in darkness, except for the study where a light was still on. She approached and saw a middle-aged man lying on the floor, drunk and muttering abusive words... The study was a mess with traces of him smashing things.
