Shen Xingzhou walked into the courtyard after hearing someone call out his name. "Xiao Liu, gather everyone tomorrow," he ordered, glancing at the person behind him.

"What are we doing, Brother Zhou?" Xiao Liu, a bright-eyed teenager around sixteen or seventeen, asked excitedly. "Are ten people enough?"

Shen Xingzhou raised his eyebrows slightly. "That's enough. Tomorrow night, we're taking my mother's dowry and all my personal belongings."

Xiao Liu jumped up with excitement, his face lit up. "It's about time! Brother Zhou, you have no idea how disgusting that Qi family's woman is. The day after you and Uncle Shen left, she barged into Auntie's dowry room and started rummaging through things, acting like it all belonged to her."

He spat on the ground in disgust. "What a piece of work."

Xiao Liu looked at Shen Xingzhou, still smiling brightly. "Don't worry, Brother Zhou, our guys have been keeping an eye on things. They haven't even found a single hair."

Shen Xingzhou tapped his fingers on the table a few times, then smiled and said, "If she's so idle, let's give her something to do. Start with my cheap brother."

"Got it! I'll get the boys on it right away. You want us to break a leg, or what?"

Shen Xingzhou glanced at him with a lazy smile on his handsome face. He spoke slowly, "Just give him a beating. No need to break any limbs. Find a village with tough customs and throw him there as a zhiqing (educated youth)."

Breaking a limb would be too easy; it would let him continue living comfortably in the city. No, he should have no future at all.

Xiao Liu chuckled, "No problem. Lao San's dad works at the zhiqing office; we'll get him to handle it."

He paused, then looked a bit hesitant. "Brother Zhou, what if the Qi family tries to pull some strings to keep him here?"

Shen Xingzhou replied calmly, "They won't. They're barely managing to keep themselves together; they can't handle more trouble."

"Got it, Brother Zhou. I'll go find Lao San right away. You rest up."

Shen Xingzhou walked back to his room at a leisurely pace. His eyes were filled with disdain. The Qi family? Hah...

Ever since Old Master Qi passed away, the Qi family has been on a steady decline. None of them hold any real power. For years, they've been living off the achievements of their elders, just coasting along.

With the Qi family in such a shaky state, why would they stir up more trouble for the sake of a useless son? As for his good-for-nothing father, he was like mud that couldn't be shaped into anything. Without his mother and grandfather, he was nothing.

As a child, he used to work hard in hopes of mending his parents' relationship, wanting a happy family like his classmates. But after seeing the truth, he could only laugh at his own childish naivety.

The night was deep, and the moon was hidden behind dark clouds.

Xiao Liu returned, accompanied by another teenager in his teens. As soon as he saw Shen Xingzhou, he rushed forward for a big hug. "Brother Zhou, you're still here!"

Shen Xingzhou smiled. "I'll leave once everything's settled. Lao San, did Xiao Liu tell you about the task?"

Xie Chengjun, the third oldest among their group of brothers, smiled with a laid-back expression. "Come on, Brother Zhou, this isn't the first time we've done this. We're quite skilled at it. Don't worry, we'll have that countryside relocation notice in that punk's hands by tomorrow."
