Around the Nakanotori Peninsula Base, Forbidden Land

Since Japan established a Self-Defense Force base and a development agency in the Forbidden Land (Nakanotori Peninsula), there has been constant activity constructing railways and roads for trade between the Kingdom of Reumel and the Kingdom of Amdis. However, they finally managed to set up a distribution system capable of handling food exports and imports.

Nearly three months had passed since diplomatic relations were established with the Kingdom of Reumel and the Kingdom of Amdis. Thanks to food imports from both countries, Japan was narrowly avoiding the threat of a major famine.

The Kingdom of Amdis, though implicitly admitting to its past unjust holy war actions against neighboring countries, surprisingly saw little large-scale anti-government protests. This was attributed to King Bartolua's acceptance of full responsibility and atonement, as well as the strong public support he enjoyed. Some anti-royalist elements attempted to stir up unrest, but the Intelligence Bureau swiftly apprehended them.

Japan exported its products, infrastructure, medical technology, and knowledge to both countries. Although there were requests for the export of Japan's latest technologies, these were declined. In order to prevent the careless spread of Japanese technology and science to foreign nations, Japan enacted significant revisions to its "Secrecy Protection Act" upon establishing relations with these otherworldly nations. Initially, opposition parties voiced opinions such as "Science knows no borders! We should freely share Japan's intellectual property!" However, to prevent Japan's medical and scientific technologies from being used in weaponry, Japan limited its contributions to basic infrastructure and medical technology. Even so, this was more than enough to foster development in both countries.

Soon after diplomatic relations were established, the construction of roads and railways began to transport large volumes of exports. This significantly expanded the distribution system. However, due to the considerable distance between the Kingdom of Amdis and the Nakanotori Peninsula, they used transport wyverns to move goods between Japan and the Kingdom of Reumel, where the infrastructure was more developed.

Additionally, trading companies from various regions emerged, seeking to engage in commerce with Japan. As a result, a town developed a little away from the base, reaching a size comparable to a small city. Following the advice of Homulus, the town was named "Unbekannt," meaning "Unknown Encounter." People of various races, drawn by the unique Japanese products available only here, continue to flock to the town.

For the SDF personnel stationed at the base, this town served as a place of relaxation and a valuable venue for deepening exchanges with the local populace. Initially, there were concerns about potential conflicts or discrimination, but the Japanese personnel and the locals quickly bonded. Peace was maintained through cooperation between mercenaries, former soldiers, beastmen hired locally, and the SDF. Through the trade companies doing business with Japan, neighboring countries also came to learn of Japan's existence indirectly.
