Unbekannt
Various merchant guilds have gathered, and before long, Unbekannt has developed into a town. There are not only guild facilities but also residences for those who have moved to this town, dining places, PX (Post Exchange), clinics, and even convenience stores.
The town is brightly lit at night, as if it were daytime, bustling with activity. Many different races have settled in this town. Most of those who come here, aside from merchants, are those who have lost their jobs, have been displaced from their homes, or are demi-humans fleeing severe discrimination.
Among this lively town, two beastmen in armor are patrolling. They are employed by Japan as the town's security forces.
"Everything seems normal over here; I want to finish work quickly and hit the tavern."
He is a cat beastman who worked as a soldier for the Kingdom of Flarcam, but upon hearing rumors about Unbekannt, he came to this town with his family.
"Absolutely. I can't forget the taste of that beer. I envy the Japanese for being able to drink that good stuff every day."
The dog beastman patrolling alongside him has a more human-like appearance. He was a slave from the Kingdom of Amdis but escaped during the chaos and made his way to Unbekannt.
Then, a scene caught their eyes. One of the SDF officers was gently comforting a lost cat beastman child, holding hands and searching for the child's parent together. Eventually, the child's parent was found, and after expressing their gratitude, the child waved goodbye, and the officer waved back with a smile.
Watching this scene, the two felt a strange emotion. It was something that would be unimaginable in the world they had lived in. The kindness shown by humans towards demi-humans like that...
"...The people of Japan are kind of mysterious, huh?"
"That's true. They don't look down on us, there's no violence or insults, and they treat us incredibly politely. I heard that there are no slaves in Japan, either."
"I wonder what Japan is really like..."

Unbekannt Tavern
A tavern where people gather to relieve their fatigue after work, sharing trivial conversations and complaints with friends. Many locals are merrily drinking, and there are a few SDF officers among them.
"Ooh... the economy seems to be thriving as usual."
Jūzō Hijikata visited the tavern to check on the situation. Next to him was the tavern's owner, Masahiro Nishitani. He also belonged to the Ground Self-Defense Force, but he had been assigned to manage this tavern as part of his duties. Before becoming an SDF officer, he had run a popular tavern in the downtown area.
"Half of our staff are local hires, and they're all doing great. Most of them are here to support their families in this newly found sanctuary..."
"That's true. I'm relieved to hear there are no issues."
