Prison Island

Gooong! Gooong!

As the emergency bell rang out, soldiers on Prison Island were rushing about in a frenzy.

"J-JAILBREAAAAAAAAAAAAK!!"

"Neyham on the fifth floor is gone!!"

"How did he escape!?"

"What was the guard doing!?"

"It doesn't matter! Assume full lockdown immediately!"

Within Prison Island, soldiers were rapidly gathering. Spiked gates were lowered over the stone windows, and all but one of the entrances to the prison were sealed. Hundreds of soldiers were positioned at the sole remaining exit, rifles drawn, to prevent the escapee from reaching the outside.

"Warden! All entrances except the East Gate have been secured!"

"Good! What's the status of the East Gate!?"

"Sir! The East Gate is heavily fortified with 200 soldiers and a Cyclops."

"Excellent! Messenger! Send word to the nearby Hoover Naval Base and request an immediate dispatch of warships!"

"Sir, permission to speak! There's a storm outside. Warships may not be able to launch right away..."

"Send the message anyway!"

"Y-yes, sir!"

・・・

Hoover Naval Base Mission Control Room, Hardique Empire

At Hoover Naval Base, where numerous paddle wheel ships-of-the-line were docked, a castle-like building stood on land. One of the towers within it, known as the Communication Tower, organizes magical transmissions and other information coming from afar.

"...!? Captain Souza! Emergency message from the Prison Island! There's been a prison break; they're urgently requesting reinforcements."

"What!? ...But with the storm raging like this—"

BAM!

"!?"

Suddenly, a man kicked the messenger room door open, barging in with an intense look—Bennett Sagittarius appeared, visibly distressed.

"What the hell!? Hey, you there! Do we know who the bonehead who broke out is!?"

"Huh? ...Y-yes, sir!"

"E-excuse me, sir... Why are you so..."

"Not your concern!"

"Y-yes, sir! It was Neyham! Neyham Airdred!"

"!?"

Bennett muttered, "I knew it!" swinging his arms in frustration.

"FUCK! WE'RE TOO LATE! Why did they put him there of all places!? That prison island is practically his playground! If he manages to escape to some other country... Damn it! I should've caught on sooner!"

"E-excuse me..."

"You're in charge here!"

Bennett quickly left the room. Exiting the tower, he called out to a soldier stationed at the entrance.
