Covenant Military Base Residential District suburbs, Lemurian Empire 11th Territory, Second World Eastern Frontier

The 11th Territory Sanctified by the Covenant, situated in the eastern frontier of the Second World, is a rural state blessed with majestic natural surroundings.

Clear skies bathed in sunlight, a breeze carrying pleasant warmth, and birds singing in harmony. If not for the landships and military vehicles traversing the roads or the warships flying through the skies, the scene would have been perfect.

This vast Covenant military base, located deep within a dense forest, constantly bustles with activity. Its proximity to the heretic states on the eastern frontier ensures near-constant commotion.

There is a highland used as a stronghold by the heretics. Surrounding that highland lies the Mithril Zone, a region where airships powered by levitation stones crash merely by approaching. For this reason, the base is dominated by ground vehicles rather than airships.

Within the base, a designated area lies more than 10 kilometers away from soldiers and military equipment. This residential district, home to the families of officers and commanding ranks, is equipped with a special magical soundproof barrier, ensuring that the constant activity does not disturb its residents.

Covenant Military Base 2nd Commander's Office, 11th Territory

A middle-aged soldier sat at his desk, maintaining an impeccable posture as he moved his pen gracefully across the page. His features were slightly rugged and chiseled, giving him a stern appearance, but his eyes held a gentle warmth.

What occupied his attention now was a single notebook. Within it, he wasn't recording anything related to his duties; it was simply an ordinary diary.

Section 4, Mizugal Period, Solar Day 15

Today was clear and sunny. The pleasant spring breeze gently caressed my skin.

Surely, this is thanks to the blessings of Great Meruela. As one of the chosen people of our divine protector, I am filled with pride.

There were no particularly urgent tasks scheduled for today.

As usual, I reviewed documents and attended a meeting on how to handle the heretic states along the eastern frontier.

Afterward, during my free time, I observed the training of my subordinates. They tirelessly hone themselves day and night for the sake of God and country. I am certain their efforts will serve them well in the future.

On another note, my wife gave me some cornbread as a snack this morning. I tried it right away, and as expected, it was delicious. Everything my wife cooks is truly top-notch.

...My pen seems to flow unusually well today.

In just one more chapter, we'll enter the Asgal Period. When that time comes, I'll receive a term of paid leave, and I can't help but feel overjoyed.

Now, just a little more work remains for today.

During my journey home, I'll start finalizing plans for where to go with my family during the holidays.
