Unbekannt, Nakanotori Peninsula
The vibrancy of this city had significantly developed compared to before. As Japan rose to become a major power and its presence spread across the globe, prominent trading companies flocked to Unbekannt, leading to an explosive increase in commercial facilities.
Additionally, the population growth led to an expansion of housing for local residents. Small wooden apartments and similar structures began to dot the landscape. Those aiming for success in Unbekannt's trade, people seeking employment, refugees pushed out of their homelands searching for a place to belong, former knights or mercenaries-turned-guards, and boastful, undefeated fighters—all kinds of people gathered here.
This city, which accepted individuals of any race or species as long as they adhered to laws and regulations, never saw a day without visitors arriving from outside.

Even at night, Unbekannt had transformed into a city that never slept. The streets were brightly illuminated by electric lamps, lanterns, and oil lanterns scattered throughout the town.
The streets were bustling with people: some dining and drinking at eateries to unwind after a long day's work, others stumbling home in a drunken stupor, and groups of friends and colleagues enjoying the vibrant nightlife together.
"Cheers to us!"
"Cheers!"
At the open terrace of Nishitani Bar, two beastmen clinked their large mugs of beer, the golden liquid frothing at the brim.
"Since our work with the city guard got busier, I've been looking forward to this one drink every day!"
"No kidding! Back in Flarcam, all we had was lukewarm, sour ale—it's no comparison."
The two, in high spirits, took in the sight of the bustling streets packed with people.
"Man, it's really gotten crowded."
The wide avenues and narrow alleys alike were teeming with people—so many that it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it rivaled Japan's Ginza or Shibuya in numbers. The sheer diversity of races moving about lent the scene a strange yet fascinating quality.
"If I recall... wasn't it after Japan defeated the Hardique Empire that things exploded like this?"
"Yeah. Who'd have thought they'd bring down a great power and rise to become one themselves? This country never ceases to amaze."
"Speaking of surprises... oh."
"What's up?"
Looking down the street, the two spotted a group dressed in extravagant clothing, accompanied by what appeared to be knights acting as their bodyguards, scanning their surroundings warily.
"Hey, hey, is that another one of those?"
"Yep, those clothes and that crest—it's nobles from the Kingdom of Flarcam this time."
"Nice life they've got, huh? Strolling around sightseeing in style."
As Japan's influence grew, high-ranking nobles and royalty from various countries had increasingly begun visiting Unbekannt as tourists. It wasn't unusual to see families spending their vacations at local hotels.
With the spread of Japanese products across the Dom Continent and beyond, stores carrying these goods caught the attention of foreign royals and nobles. Enthralled by the unfamiliar items, they would purchase them in bulk or establish exclusive import routes to obtain them. When their own country's stock ran low, these nobles would turn to tourism, visiting Japan—and by extension, Unbekannt—to secure more of the coveted goods.
