National Diet Building Conference Room, Japan
Prime Minister Hirose along with various ministers and the kings of the demi-human nations sat around a large, rectangular table in a face-to-face arrangement. A large smart glass screen was installed at the far end of the room.
"It should be about time for him to arrive," remarked Deputy Prime Minister Nanbara, glancing at his wristwatch.
Just then, a knock was heard at the door, and a man entered the room.
Kachak!
"Ex-excuse me! I am Neyham Airdred. Thank you very much for inviting me here."
The man who entered, visibly tense, was Neyham Airdred, the former Director of the Foreign Affairs Bureau for the Hardique Empire. He slowly took a seat in one of the prepared chairs.
With a warm smile, Prime Minister Hirose addressed Neyham. "Mr. Neyham, I apologize for calling you here on such short notice. How was your first experience flying?"
"Y-yes! Honestly, I was just praying to arrive safely the entire time. I didn't have any leisure to enjoy the scenery."
"Hahaha! I see... Well, Mr. Neyham, these are the representatives of the demi-human nations we mentioned earlier."
Following Hirose's gesture, Neyham looked toward them, only to be met with Bahamut's piercing gaze. Neyham involuntarily gasped under the intimidating stare.
"H-hello..."
The kings of the demi-human nations gave a slight nod in return. Once the brief greetings concluded, Nanbara took the lead to advance the discussion.
"Now then, Mr. Neyham. You understand the reason we granted you asylum, don't you?"
"Y-yes... I will provide all the information I possess to Japan and the other nations! Of course, I will hold nothing back!"
"Good to hear. Then, let us proceed. Please share with us the secrets of the Hardique Empire. For clarity, we ask that you explain in detail for both us and the representatives of the demi-human nations."
Neyham took a deep breath through his nose, nodded quietly, and prepared to speak.
"Please, go ahead."
After clearing his throat and drinking a full glass of water in one gulp, Neyham began.
"Alright, first, the secrets of the Hardique Empire can be divided into two major aspects: the massive military technology research facility known as 'Utopia' and the 'Imperial Rebirth Plan,' a scheme to reestablish the Empire as the most powerful nation in this world."
Wenduil raised his hand to ask a question.
"What exactly is this 'Utopia'?"
"W-well, Utopia is a massive underground facility built deep beneath the Hardique Empire. There, powerful weapons are developed day and night. Only those aligned with Orion's faction are aware of its existence; Emperor Vargo does not know about it."
Bahamut raised his hand to ask a question.
"What level of military technology are we talking about?"
"It's a level where steam engine technology has been pushed to its absolute limits for military applications. However, our country's own technology had its limitations, so we dispatched spies to two nations to steal their military technology."
