Without realizing it, many interesting isekai novels have been released ( '∀`)
I generally like any kind of isekai, but personally, I prefer isekai novels where the one getting summoned is Japan itself.

Hal Handia Air Force Base
To the south of the imperial capital, there was an air force base with several stone-built, sturdy buildings. The design of these buildings was quite prominent.
A large, well-maintained runway stretched across the base, with several triplane fighters and flying battleships stationed at the dock on one corner. However, most of the base's air forces consisted of wyverns and fighting dragons.
The triplane fighters and flying battleships were mostly assembled after parts were made in Utopia and transported to the ground. However, after repeated defeats, the triplanes and other aircraft assembled on the ground were almost completely destroyed. As a result, only a few remained at the base, except for some parts of the remaining air force facilities.
It would take a long time to rebuild and redeploy to the levels seen before the war. However, the news of Utopia's collapse had not reached most of the military bases yet.
"Alright, alright. Here's your food."
A soldier entered the dragon stable and scattered food for the wyverns and fighting dragons inside.
"Phew... lucky you guys, not being disposed of. Seriously! The higher-ups are crazy."
As he petted the heads of the wyverns devouring their food, the soldier muttered irritably.
When new weapons made in Utopia were introduced, the wyverns and fighting dragons, which had been used as the primary aerial forces, were deemed "obsolete" by Emperor Orion and his cronies. The officers decided that these obsolete creatures should be disposed of by execution. However, due to the declaration of war between Japan and Alfheim, this disposal was postponed until after the war.
For those who had lived as dragon knights for many years, handing over the aerial forces to "machines with wings"—whose structure was almost entirely unknown—was not something that could be accepted.
Now, the skies above the empire were no longer filled with dragon knights but with flying soldiers. The dragon knights had mostly transferred to the army or navy, but some, like him, had been relegated to menial positions. Caring for dragons, just waiting for them to die, was a painful task, but he still wished to live with dragons.
"But still, it's just postponed, right? Hah... is there any way I can keep them alive?"
As he muttered his complaints, the base suddenly became chaotic.
WOOOOOO—!!!
The blaring alarm immediately made him realize that enemy forces were attacking.
"G-gotta hurry and get ready to sortie!"
Just as he was about to grab his armor, he snapped back to reality. He realized he was no longer a knight protecting the skies of the empire.
"Ah... right, now I'm..."
Looking outside the stable, he saw airmen preparing the fighter planes. Those were the current main forces... Evidence of that was the fact that the hangars for them had been built near the runway, while the dragon stables were pushed to the outskirts of the base.
