The following is an event that occurred the day before yesterday, during a meeting between Neyham and the kings of the demi-human nations.
"Republic of Lemuria... I don't know all the details myself, but it is a powerful military nation!"
Neyham's words left the kings of the demi-human nations speechless. Hirose and the others sighed deeply, pondering the situation aloud.
"Mr. Neyham, tell us what you can. Any information on the Republic of Lemuria would be appreciated."
At Bahamut's words, Neyham nodded.
"Y-yes. As I mentioned earlier, Lemuria has immense military power... perhaps equal to or even greater than that of the Great Valkian Empire."
"I see. And your nation had ties to this Lemuria? But how did you cross the Wall of Fog? It should be impossible to reach the other side."
"Indeed... ordinarily, venturing into the mist simply returns you to the entrance. However, there was one single route that led beyond the wall. This route, albeit briefly, was used fifteen years ago as a trade route between our nation and theirs. However, Emperor Vargo feared Lemuria's power and concealed the route. Yet, we discovered it."
"You found that route... then it's possible to cross to the other side from there?"
"That's correct."
At that moment, Dvergr stood up, ruffling his hair in frustration.
"Aargh, this is so confusing! What the heck happened before we were born? The Second World? The Republic of Lemuria? Explain everything from start to finish already!"
Nanbara raised his hand and responded.
"Anticipating such a reaction, we've prepared a simplified summary. Please direct your attention to the smart glass—or rather, the large glass screen over there."
As Nanbara operated the smart glass, everyone thought to themselves, 'You should have done that from the start.'
Beyond the Wall of Fog lies a world now known as the "Second World." Originally, there was no fog, but it suddenly appeared approximately 500 years ago, completely severing our world from it.
Beyond the fog lies three continents:
- Republic of Lemuria
- Logeus Continent: At the time, the Logeus Continent was known as the "Continent of Demons," and no one had any idea what nations existed there. Rumors suggest that the demon race relocated there and rebuilt the Kingdom of Galvas.
- Quitua Continent: This continent is home to 20 nations, including five quasi-great powers.
"This is the other side of the Wall of Fog, the 'Second World.'"
Wenduil and Abijana whispered to each other.
"As we suspected. There were rumors that it was destroyed by divine judgment, and the fog appeared as a result. But to think it still exists..."
"Indeed. I am 400 years old, and I heard about it from my father. Lord Bahamut, have you heard anything about these matters?"
After exchanging glances, Bahamut and others responded one by one.
