Philosopher's Stone Experimental Storage Area, Teberia Research Institute

Due to its depth underground, the place was dimly lit. Although magical lamps were installed at regular intervals along the passageways, their faint illumination did little to dispel the gloom, instead amplifying the eerie atmosphere.

The walls of the passageways were crammed with a variety of exposed cable tubes and pipes, ranging from thick to thin in all sizes. Occasionally, a hissing sound, as if steam or something similar was being released, could be heard from somewhere. Despite this, researchers and magical engineers moved about these passageways as if it were completely normal. In some areas where the lamps were not functioning, carrying a portable one was a necessity.

The pristine cleanliness of the first floor was nowhere to be found here. However, no one seemed to mind—such concerns were irrelevant in this place, where one couldn't afford to be bothered by them.

As the emperor and Dr. Sven walked through the maze-like passageways, they eventually arrived at an expansive space.

The area was filled with a countless array of cables, pipes, and tubes, and the levels were layered like tiers. Each level was populated by numerous researchers and packed with a myriad of observation magical devices and data collection instruments. Naturally, the first level with its entrance also had an array of devices arranged in a circular formation, with researchers intently analyzing the data displayed on the screens.

In the center of this clearly distinct and extraordinary space stood a massive, transparent, capsule-shaped container with a diameter of 80 meters—an object so prominent that anyone arriving here would inevitably notice it. The capsule was connected to an uncountable number of tubes and cords, with magical engineers using ladders and mesh platforms to meticulously maintain it.

And inside that giant capsule was something of utmost importance.

Its surface was smooth and emitted an iridescent sheen, yet its texture was rugged like natural rock. Apart from this object, the capsule was completely empty. Nonetheless, the object floated serenely in the center of the capsule. The interior of the capsule was filled—not just filled but surging—with a faint purple mist. It flowed like a swirling ocean, like the raging currents of a river. Though no sound could be heard, it gave an almost illusionary impression of a roaring waterfall, as if the air was echoing with thunderous noise.

That object was none other than the world's largest and most powerful magi-stone discovered by Lemuria centuries ago, the Philosopher's Stone.

"No matter how many times I see it... it's astonishing. It sends shivers down my spine," the emperor muttered as he gazed up at the massive capsule housing the Philosopher's Stone. A few drops of cold sweat ran down his neck.

"You're not alone. Even I feel the same. Standing so close to this colossal storm of near-infinite, overwhelming energy occasionally gives me chills, as though I might be swallowed up by it. I imagine the other staff feel the same way."

Even Dr. Sven, a self-proclaimed magical science fanatic, couldn't help but cower slightly before the Philosopher's Stone. Its sheer overwhelming energy was so immense that it tempted one to draw closer for a better look.

The emperor took a step forward, then another, as if drawn toward the Philosopher's Stone.

"Friend, do not step any closer... Have you forgotten the danger it poses? Even confined within that specially designed anti-magic containment capsule, it remains unsafe."
