Sorry for the wait.

I've made some major revisions compared to before deletion. I'm not sure if this meets everyone's expectations, but I hope you enjoy it even a little.

A few days later

In a certain hangar at the Nakanotori Peninsula Base

In the dimly lit center of the hangar sat the Betsuhan's leader, Suzuki, in a chair. After a few moments, Betsuhan members, all dressed in black gear, gathered around him from all sides.

"Let's get this wrapped up... The mission is as I told you: Infiltrate Unbekannt and locate the spies. It's not exactly a small town, but... you've got this, right?"

"Piece of cake. Honestly, the mission 12 years, 3 months, 25 days, 1 hour, and 54 minutes ago had a lot more going for it."

"You mean when we clashed with the GRU in the Habomai Islands? That was a fun one, but enough whining. Get going."

At his words, the team members turned and disappeared back into the darkness they came from. Suzuki then rose and headed for the exit, hitting the light switch as he left, plunging the hangar into darkness. What remained was silence and shadow... an empty space, not even footsteps to be heard.

The Betsuhan's hunt had begun.

Nishitani Bar

A few days ago, the warning had felt like a lie; the interior was bustling with activity.

"Gyahaha! I told you that—"

"Hey, young lady! Another beer!"

"Seriously! Dwarves are so stubborn!"

"What am I going to do about work starting tomorrow..."

Nishitani and the maid staff were all busy. However, among them were two unfamiliar staff members. A drunken man noticed this when he tried to place an additional order.

"Hey! Dark elf lady! Another beer—wait? Are you a new hire?"

"Yes! I'm... Rana!"

Luna deliberately answered with a fake name. She had been telling the staff to call her "Rana."

"Oh! Is that so? And that young lady over there is new too?"

The male customer called out to another maid working a little further away. However, that maid was not a woman.

"I-I'm... a boy..."

"Wha!? A boy!?"

The male customer was quite surprised to see a boy dressed in a maid outfit. It made sense; just looking at his face, he could easily be mistaken for a girl, and dressed as he was, he looked completely female. As a result, the other customers, who had been listening to the conversation, were also shocked by the surprising fact about Meto.

"Ah, so he was a boy..."

"I-I thought for sure he was a girl..."

"Wow, I can't believe there's a boy who looks this much like a girl..."

"I was thinking of saying something to him..."

"Idiot! Didn't you see the sign outside that said you shouldn't make a move on maids!?"

Before long, a crowd of curious customers had gathered around Meto. Nishitani and Kawaguchi, washing dishes in the kitchen, were observing the scene.

"Ah, man... I knew this would happen..."
