The next day

Outside the Interrogation Room at Nakanotori Peninsula Base

The investigation of the "bomber group" captured the previous day was underway. It was discovered that most of the members were hired hands, all of whom had family members suffering from serious illnesses. They were working in exchange for medicine to treat these conditions.

As for the mastermind, Hevack, it was initially believed he was a werewolf. However, it turned out he was a human who had transformed into a werewolf using mimicry magic. Still, he had remained silent, so no detailed information about him had been gathered yet.

"I'm sorry, but there's no katsudon here... that's just an urban legend."

Uchida, the SDF officer in charge of the interrogation, spoke. In the room were a recording officer and two P.W. units standing behind Hevack.

Hevack sat in a chair with his hands tied behind his back. When he saw Uchida, he glared at him with murderous intent. But Uchida, unfazed, continued to review the documents in the file as he proceeded with the questioning.

"Alright then, let's just recap. How about we make up?"

"If you... if you people hadn't come... this would never have happened... I'll never forgive you!"

"Ah, finally got you talking. More importantly, what was your purpose in targeting the dark elves?"

"Hmph... I owe you no explanation!"

"...What country are you from?"

"Who knows?"

"Your name?"

"No way. I wouldn't give my name to barbarians."

"I see... then 'Dickhead' will do, right? Good enough? Now, Dickhead, what the fuck is your objective?"

Hevack's expression grew visibly irritated at being called a "Dickhead." Uchida, however, paid it no mind and continued to address him as "Dickhead" while pressing with his questions. This only stoked Hevack's rage further, as he could not stand being called that by someone he considered a barbarian.

"So, Dickhead... I heard that fucking mimicry magic was originally an exclusive magical technology of the fucking Thestania Empire. Did your fucking country steal it from Thestania, or did Thestania steal it from yours? Which the fuck is it?"

Hevack's brow twitched with anger, and his irritation was clear, but Uchida continued undeterred.

"Hey... enough already—"

"So, are you the only one who can use this fucking mimicry magic? If so, that's impressive, Dickhead. But if this magic actually originated somewhere else, and your fucking country copied it and then fucking strutted around as if it were your own, doesn't that make your fucking country just as much a Dickhead? Not that I think it's anything special."

Finally, Hevack snapped. He leaned forward in his chair with a loud clatter and screamed. The P.W.s moved to react, but Uchida quickly held out his hand, stopping them.

"YOU CUR!! If you insult the great Hardique Empire any further, I, Hevack Razim, won't forgive you!! When our grand objective succeeds, we'll finish you all off!!"

Uchida stared coldly at Hevack for a few seconds, then casually picked up a pen and jotted down the information in his file.

"Hmm. Hevack Razim... Hardique Empire... Thank you for your cooperation."
