The New Year period is really busy...

Sorry for the delay m(_ _)m

Another new WALKER is making an appearance.

Also, I really don't have much military knowledge, so you might think, "No one would give an order like this." But if that doesn't bother you, please go ahead!

The dark elven covert unit raced across the plains, each member moving toward the town of Unbekannt at staggered intervals to keep their distance from each other.

"About 1,5 kilometers left... No walls... The guards are practically non-existent. This is too easy," one murmured, watching Unbekannt in the distance from behind the tall grass. Sensing that this mission would end without a hitch, he allowed himself a small smile.

"Let's wrap this up quickl—"

Crack!

At the same moment he heard a sharp snapping sound, his consciousness drifted away before he even realized what had happened.

Elsewhere, another pair of dark elves advanced, one on guard in front and the other watching the rear.

"Hmm?"

"Hey, what's up, Jiu?"

"I thought I saw something flash over where Duma was... Did you see it, Dona?"

"Nope, didn't see a thing. We're only 1 kilometer out, let's keep mo—"

Crack!

Suddenly, the same bursting sound interrupted Dona's sentence.

"Huh?"

Jiu, a male dark elf, turned to look in the direction of the noise. But Dona, who had been just ahead of him a moment before, was nowhere to be seen.

"W-What... Where did—"

Thud!

Something suddenly lunged out from the nearby grass, slamming into Jiu from the side and forcing him into the tall grass, where he was pinned down.

"What the—what is this!?"

A creature he'd never seen before—a figure clad in iron—held him down against the ground. Trapped, Jiu tried to reach for the knife at his waist.

Crack!

"———!"

With another sharp crack, pain and a powerful shock coursed through his entire body. Jiu's consciousness faded into the distance.

Unbekannt Main Gate

At the main gate, multiple members of the SDF and local security forces were stationed, all vigilantly watching outside Unbekannt. In the gate's monitoring center, personnel kept their eyes on the monitors while issuing commands over the radio as needed.

"ASSASSIN WALKER-09 has locked on to Target 04 at Point B-2-3-8... Capturing."

"A.W. has Target 12 locked on at Point A-5-8-3."

"Target captured at Point H-4-8-8."

"—Target captured."

"At Point D—"

"—Capture confirmed."

"—Target captured."

The only sounds echoing from the main gate guardroom were the reports of captured targets. On the monitors, triangular and circular markers blinked; as a triangle moved closer to a circle, the circle would blink out and disappear before switching to the next.
