Siuanhas questions and chooses Lan to give her the answers (For this chapter, we will follow the events from Siuan's POV).

Siuan's POV

Moiraine became limp in Alanna's arms while her head rested in Siuan's careful hands. Surprised, the Green Sister let go of her friend.

Luckily, Siuan reacted quickly, catching the Cairhien woman before she collapsed on the floor. Carefully, she placed Moiraine's head in her lap, stroking her back gently. Unknowingly, Alanna had given the Tairen woman a possibility to be close to Moiraine.

Kerene took a step closer – no doubt trying to take the sleeping woman away from her – but Siuan waved her off. She didn't want Moiraine to be removed from her just yet.

"What have you done, Mother?" Alanna was shocked.

Kerene hissed at her sister's tone, but Siuan smiled gently.

"I sent her to sleep. Moiraine won't stop fighting until she collapses. No one wants that to happen."

Amused, the Amyrlin watched how Alanna bit her lower lip. She was a good friend to Moiraine. "What is bothering you, Daughter?"

"Moiraine, she... she worried about her Warder. Earlier, he was gone for a moment, only saved by Kerene Sedai's quick reaction. I had hoped I could ease Moiraine's mind by keeping her awake until we received news from the Yellow Ajah."

Siuan smiled. It was a sweet gesture of Alanna to try to help a fellow sister. "Don't worry, Daughter. Moiraine Sedai should be with her Warder and not separated from him." She turned her head toward the older Aes Sedai. "Kerene? Is your Warder still waiting outside for us?"

"Indeed, Mother. Do you need anything?"

"He wouldn't have a problem carrying Moiraine to the tents of the Yellow Ajah, would he?"

Kerene raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Mother, don't you think Moiraine should... she just got healed by Alanna and is very weak. It would be best if we let her sleep until morning before reuniting her with her Warder."

The Amyrlin smiled, then tilted her head questioningly. "Do you want to tell me you would wait until someone would let you see your Warder if your roles would be reversed?"

The mouth of the Sitter opened and closed like a fish on land, but no words crossed her lips. No Aes Sedai would listen and go to sleep instead of seeing their Warder.

"That's what I thought," Siuan said, nodding.

Kerene gave up and lowered her shoulders. The first oath stopped her from lying, and everyone knew it. "Stepin!"

It wasn't long until the fabric at the entrance moved, and Kerene's Warder entered the tent. "Yes?"

"Can you carry Moiraine Sedai to the tents of the Yellow Ajah?"

The eyes of the man widened at his Aes Sedai's words. "The tents of the... I thought she should stay with Alanna tonight."

Kerene sighed. "Change of plans."

Siuan entered their conversation before more speculations could be made. "An Aes Sedai should be with her Warder. Besides, I don't think the Yellow Ajah would mind if they have to watch over one more person."

Stepin swallowed and bowed respectfully. "As you say, Mother. Do you want me to carry Moiraine Sedai now or-?"

"Now." She didn't even let him finish.
