“ I would like to introduce Engineer Amadeo Takahashi, the project engineer.”
His face looks like it hasn’t aged a bit. His ocean blue eyes still mesmerized me. His voice, his presence— everything I miss about him....para bang bumalik ako sa nakaraan.
Am I dreaming?
“ M-madam? Minumulto ba tayo? F-feeling ko kasi oo e.” bulong ni Ray dahil maging siya ay hindi rin makapaniwala sa nakikita niya ngayon.
“ Madam? Madam? Nandiyan ka pa ba?”
“ S-shut up.”
“ This is Mrs. Brown, the CEO of Dupioni.”
“ Nice to meet you, Engineer Takahashi.”
“ And this is Ms.Villanueva. The CMO of Dupioni with her assistant Raymond.”
Nang lumapat ang tingin niya sa’kin...para bang gusto ko na lang matunaw o ’di kaya ay magpalamon sa lupa.
He gave me a glance and went back to talking to Mrs. Brown.
Does he still remember me?
“ Let’s have a seat.” aniya kaya naupo kaming lahat.
“ So, what’s the plan, Engineer Takahashi?”
Binuklat niya ang hawak-hawak niyang blue print at ipinakita ’yon saaming lahat.
“ We can initiate the project in about two months, maybe sooner if possible. Should take about half a year to finish. As for the costs, it’s around 80 million.”
The way he talks professionally. I couldn’t help but admire him, and I never thought he’d choose this path. But I’m still proud of him.
Hindi man ’yon mabigkas ng bibig ko...I’m so proud of him.
He looks exactly the same...he’s still handsome as hell. But his body? It’s gotten even bigger. His broad shoulders are even broader and you can see his muscles even with his shirt on.
Gosh, Dawn! Out of everything, that’s what you noticed?!
“ So, what can you say about it, Ms. Villanueva?”
“ H-huh?”
“ Are you with us?”
“ Y-yes.”
“ So, what can you say about it?” nakatingin naman silang lahat sa’kin.
“ T-the plan was good.”
“ And?”
“ W-we’ll be looking forward to it.”
“ By the way, Ms. Villanueva just got promoted as the CMO of Dupioni. But right from her first day at the job, she proved herself worthy of the position. I hope you two get along well, Engineer Takahashi.”
He just nodded and stood up.
Ba’t kami na naman?!
“ I’ll go ahead, Mrs. Brown, and I’m sorry for being late earlier. I’ll tell my driver to drive you home.
“ It’s okay, it’s okay. Thank you, Engineer Takahashi.”
He glanced at me before he walked out the door, kaya agad naman akong umiwas dahil sa pagka-ilang.
Just like he said, when we went out, our driver was already waiting. I thought it would be a normal car...but Porsche?! A Porsche car?!
“ Pasok na po kayo, Ma’am.” at nang tignan ko ang mukha ng driver... jusko po! pamilyar siya sa’kin!
