Tonight your parents insisted on my meeting your boyfriend, and both of you were extremely nervous. You smoothed out your dress for what feels like the hundredth time, waiting for Luke to show up. The doorbell rang, and before you could get there, your dad had already opened the door. "Hello Mr. Y/l/n" Luke says smiling sweetly. He holds out his hand for your father to shake. Your dad looks really impressed as he shakes his hand. "You must be Luke." He says, even though he already knows. "Yes sir. I hope I'm not too early" He says. "Nonsense. Honey leave the poor boy alone. Y/n your handsome boyfriend is here!" You hear your mother call. You make your way into the room and your eyes widen at the sight of him. He took out his lip ring and he's wearing a white shirt with a tie. For the first time since you've been dating, he's no longer wearing his black skinny jeans. You mother ushers you all into the dining room as she sets the table. Luke pulls out your chair for you and then offers to help your mom set the table. To say you were impressed was an understatement. "No dear that's okay. You can go sit" She says. He nods smiling and sits down next to you. You grab Luke's hand under the table and he gently squeezes it. By the time everyone is finished you dad has asked Luke almost every embarrassing question he could, and your mom doing the best she can to apologize. Luke laughs and plays along and answers the questions. You were so amazed at how well they got along. You walked him to the door alone after your mother explaining that you two deserve some alone time. You kiss him softly. "Thank you for tonight" You whisper. "No need. I had a lot of fun and I'm glad we got along" He says smiling. You father comes over and to say goodbye, and Luke takes that as his cue to leave. You're headed upstairs when you hear your name. "We approve" You hear your dad say. You smile widely at their words. "He's so much nicer and cuter than your other boyfriends we've met. He's definitely a keeper" You mom says with a wink. You blush and head upstairs glad that the most important people in your life get along.
