Wait (Luke)

"Baby just wait okay? Just a few more weeks." You hear him beg. You called your boyfriend Luke. You've been a mess for a while. You really miss him and there's still a few weeks left of his tour. You were ready to call it quits after waiting so long. "No baby please just wait. If you wait until I get home I swear we can make this last." He whimpers. "Luke we knew this was going to happen eventually." You whisper crying slightly. "Y/n please. If you leave I'll never be happy again. Please don't throw us away." He pleads but you've heard enough. This was it. Your heart can't take it anymore. The late nights trying to talk to him for 3 minutes and unanswered texts while he gives his attention to anyone other than you. You know deep down it isn't his fault, it's just part of the job description, but right now you wanted someone to blame other than yourself. You didn't want to leave him but you can torture yourself like this any longer. "I'm coming home and I don't care what it costs me. I'm not losing you." He says. You can hear him rustling around on the line. "Luke don't be stupid." You say. "I'm not being stupid I'm saving my relationship. You're all that matters. I'm coming home." He says forcefully. You sigh and hang up. You end up falling asleep on the couch.
You wake up with a start when the door slams shut. You groggily open your eyes and see his tall figure. You stand up still half asleep and telling yourself you're dreaming. Luke wouldn't have the time to be here. He pulls you into his chest and hugs the shit out of you. You grip his shirt and your mind is at ease of the warm embrace and the smell of his cologne and him. "I'm finally home." He whispers.
