Two

Maya's POV:

I woke up today at 5:00am to get Lucas and Farkle up.

"Hey guys you gotta wake up and start to pack. Our flight leaves in 4 hours."
I hear nothing. So I resort the next option. Yelling.
"FARKLE. LUCAS. NOW"
I hear them stirring around and Lucas groans,
"Ugh. Okay Maya. We heard you the first time."
I walk out of their room and go down in the kitchen. I grab a bowl and fill it with Riley's favorite cereal: Fruit Loops. And fill it with milk. I put it on the platter with a spoon and throw some pancake batter on the skillet. As I'm waiting for the pancakes to be cooked, Farkle comes in the room.
"Good morning beautiful. How'd you sleep?"
"Morning Farkle and not good at all. If you add up the amount of time I've slept in the past 3 weeks you'll get about 14 hours."
Farkle looks a bit concerned and confused and then he suddenly lightens up and says, "Oh. Right. For Riley. Well since it was for her birthday it was worth it, right?"
I simply nod my head and get the two pancakes off the skillet and throw them on a plate. That was a close call. What if Farkle heard me the past few nights? I grab some orange juice and pour it in a glass and put that on the platter too. I slowly and quietly step towards me and Riley's room. Riley and I have to share a room because the house we have here only had 2 bedrooms. Which isn't that bad, but sometimes I'd like my own room or at least my own bed. I step in the room and in a whisper I say to the sleeping Riley,
"Hey Pumpkin, Goodmorning birthday girl ." Riley turns over and moans a simple and groggy sounding, "Hi"
I scream back, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY RILES! I LOVE YOU!! HERES BREAKFAST!"
After I said breakfast Riley shot up really quickly, which made me giggle. I gave her her platter of all her favorite breakfast foods and she gives me the biggest hug and says with a smile, "Thank you Maya you're the best best friend ever."
I check my phone and see the time:
6:30
I tell Riley to get dressed after she's done because we have a lot of things planned and she nods her head and smiles. Then she asks me, "What are we doing today?" I give her a smile and tell her, "It's a surprise but once I tell you this you'll most likely understand. It's something you've been wanting to do for a while now. So start to gather things you'd need for 7 days." Riley's eyes light up and says, "EEEEEE! We're going on vacation? Where to? Where to?" I give her a hug and whisper in her ear, "It's a surprise." Good thing she didn't pick up on where we were going, now it'll be a good surprise. I walk out of our room and look all around the house making sure I didn't forget to pack anything, I realize I forgot something very important. The CD. I grab it and throw it in my backpack before anyone else saw.
