Thirty Three

Riley's POV:

I know we're doing this for Maya, but it might be hard for me to be constantly traveling especially leaving the places I love. But I'm sure once the tour comes to an end, I'll miss it and regret rushing it. It's just so surreal that within not even a day Maya got fairly big and is already scheduling a tour.
After we board on the plane and take our seats I watch out the window as we go further away from New York.
I ask Maya who is sitting next to me, "So do you have an idea of when your tour might start?" She replies, "We're not sure. Today is May 18. And she said in about 2-3 months. So either July or August, which is a great time. The end of summer. It's gonna be so fun! I'm so glad I'll be spending it with you guys. There's no one I'd rather be with." I give her a warming smile and say, "I'm so excited, we're gonna have lots of fun." She smiles back at me.
I look out the window and watch all the pretty city lights pass by underneath us.
The whole rest of the flight I listened to my music and talked to Maya on and off. I started to feel a lot more comfortable with flying already.
Which sucks is that Maya couldn't find all 4 seats together so Farkle and Lucas had to sit 3 rows back.
Finally, we land and head to baggage claim. I say, "It's good to be back." Maya says, "For only two months." And frowns. I cheer her up and say, "We leave for two months in two OR THREE months. Plus, we're gonna go to so many cool states and cities you're gonna forget about it here and NY." The last part was a lie. I'd get homesick a week into the tour. But I want to go through with the whole thing for Maya and plus I can say I've been to a lot of places.
After we leave the airport we hop into a cab and go our way home.
Maya scratches the top of her head and says in a confused tone, "I'm so confused. We flew out at night, but landed in a different time zone. I feel so jet-lagged." And yawns. I agree with her and say, "Before we do anything when we get home, I'm starving. I need food." Everyone agrees.
Maya tells us, "Okay, but I have a 5:00 flight later, but I'll be back by like tomorrow morning. I have to go to that meeting." I frown at her and say, "Ugh. Okay. Then how about we all just order in a pizza." They all agree in excitement.
After 40 minutes, we arrive at our house. We pile out of the cab and unlock the front door.
First thing I do is go right up to my room and unpack my luggage. Everyone else does the same except for Maya. Maya just packs new and clean clothes and then goes back downstairs.

Maya's POV:

Honestly, I don't mind traveling as much as other people. I find it fun and entertaining to be on flights all the time and seeing new places. The only thing I do mind, is leaving our families. But I'm sure once the tour is over we will see them a lot.
I decide to order the pizza myself since everyone is still unpacking.
Riley comes downstairs and says, "Okay what kind of pizza do you like?"
I say back, "I decided to order it myself so I got what you all love. Pepperoni for you and me, meat lovers for Lucas, and veggie for Farkle." Riley says, "Awe you know me too well." I go to the living room and sit down and watch some tv. Farkle comes in the room and asks, "Ooh can we watch the Big Bang theory? Please?" I sigh and turn on the Big Bang Theory. He thanks me and we watch it together.
About 10 minutes later the pizza man comes and Lucas says, "I'll get it!" He comes back in the room with the pizza. Riley says, "Yummy it smells delicious."
We all dig in and feel bloated within 15 minutes. Everyone groans and sits back. I complain, "I ate too fast. I can't even look at food or I'll want to puke."
I curl my feet up like a ball and cuddle up next to Riley and close my eyes. She holds my hand back and says, "I don't want this to ever change no matter what happens." I kept replaying those words in my head until I fell into a deep sleep.
