Seventy Six

Maya's POV:

Skip ahead 2 weeks

"Wake up sleepyhead! Come on you're gonna be late." Riley says loudly. I flip over and say, "For what?" She says, "Your flight to LA? Jeez you're really out of it." I say simply, "Oh yeah!" I jump out of bed and go to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I brush my hair and put it in a pony tail for now. When I come out, I put on a light sweater and some black, ripped, jean, short shorts with some random pair of vans that were on the floor. They're probably Riley's, but oh well she won't miss them. I pack an extra 3 outfits in a little carry on with my makeup and hair necessities. I grab my phone and head out of the apartment. Cory and Topanga say, "Good luck Maya! Have a nice and safe flight and call us right when you get there! See you in 2 days." I smile and say, "Thank you guys. Will do!" I call into the other room, "Riles, I'll see you in a few days!" She comes sprinting out and hugs me and says, "Okay bye have a good flight." I smile and thank her and walk out.
While waiting for my uber, I text Ross:

Maya: hiya
Ross: hi when will you be here
Maya: chill😂I'm leaving for the airport in a bit
Ross: I just want to hold you in my arms again.

I look up when I feel someone's presence behind me. I turn around quickly and see Josh. I rush to put my phone away and smile at him. He says, "Did you think I'd let you go without saying goodbye?" I say, "It's just 2 days Josh." He says, "Well I just want to hold you in my arms and keep you there." My eyes open wide. Shit he saw the text. He continues, "Who the fuck is Ross?" I hold his shoulders and say, "Josh listen let's not do this now. It's just Ross. Like Ross lynch. He's my best friend. There's nothing he means by that besides that he just wants to see me again. Don't think too into this. Okay?" I can see the fury in his eyes and it scares me a little. It's the same look in Harvey's eyes. It's the same look in Justin's eyes. It's the same look in my dad's eyes. Even though I always act tough and brave on the outside, on the inside I'm really sensitive and broken.
I start to feel light headed and dizzy and step back from him. Suddenly, the evil turns to guilt and sorrow in him. He holds me and says, "Oh my gosh babe are you okay? You don't look good. You're whiter than usual." I feel too weak to talk so I just shake my head and fall into his arms. He says scared, "What happened?!" I slightly shrug and close my eyes. He says shakily and loudly, "Talk!" I manage to say, "The way you. Looked at me. Your eyes.. I just.." He says quietly and sweetly, "Maya I would never hurt you the way that those disgusting people did. Please know that. I love you so much and I'm so sorry. I would never do that to you. I would never hurt you. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm so sorry." He turns me over and pulls me into a hug. At first I stay stiff and resist, but I feel safe again and loosen up. He pulls away and cups my face and kisses me lightly and says, "Your uber just pulled up. Have a nice flight. Call me when you get there, I love you." I nod and say softly, "I love you too." and get into the uber.

Josh almost got a little violent.. Do you think that means anything?
So I've had a lot of time to write this weekend, if you couldn't already tell, because for once I didn't have 20 assignments to do. Lol. Thank you for reading hope you enjoyed! <3
