Sixty One

Maya's POV:

Okay I decided Riley isn't allowed to talk anymore. About anything. I say with a smile, "Can you excuse us for a second?" I grab Riley by her arm hard and drag her out to the hall. I say loudly almost yelling, "ARE YOU NUTS?" She holds her hands in front of her face and says, "I'm sorry! I was on a roll of just telling them everything and forgot." I calm down and breath in and out deeply and say, "It's fine. Just let me talk next time." She giggles and says, "I said the same thing." Before we start to go back to the room I see Shawn rushing down the hallway and yells, "MAYA!" He runs up to me and hugs me. I keep my arms up and say laughing, "Hi Shawn." He pulls back and says, "What happened??" I hold his hand and walk into the room. He gasps and says to my mom, "Oh no Katy. I- what happened?!" As she started explaining the story I had to walk out of the room. I don't want to hear the story anymore. Riley follows me out and asks, "Hey, you okay?" I nod and look down at my feet.
We wait outside the room for a minute till we go back in. Right as I walk in my mom says to Shawn, "Maya saved me. Without her I don't know if I'd be here." I turn around to go back out and Riley pushes me back into the room and says, "No no no stay." Shawn turns around and smiles at me. He pulls me into a hug and says, "You sure have been the hero lately. I missed you kiddo." I smile into his chest and say, "I wouldn't say that, but I missed you too." Riley and Topanga say together, "Aweeeee." I pull away and Shawn says, "No, really. I would say that. You saved Riley. You saved your mom. And you make your fans really happy. You influenced so many lives Maya. Including mine." Mmhmm. See this is what I didn't want him to say. Riley punches my side and I cough up, "Thank you."

After another hour or so my mom gets discharged and we all drive back home.
Topanga invited my mom and Shawn for dinner at Riley's.
When she unlocks the door Riley and I start for her room, but my mom stops me and says, "Wait. Maya?" I stop and stand still without turning around and say, "Yeees." She says sweetly, "Thank you for everything babygirl." I let out a mumbled, "Welcome." and groan and run to Riley's room. I sit down at the bay window.
Riley comes in and slams the door behind her. She says with an attitude, "What's your deal? She was being grateful and nice!" I say, "Because I hate all this talk about me. I'm not a hero. I did 2 good things." Riley says quietly, "I think you're my hero." I say laughing, "Of course you do"
I lean my head on Riley's shoulder and check my phone for the time:
5:20pm

Ugh Josh should be getting off work soon and then he'll be here. I just don't feel like hanging out at all.
I say, "I'm a little tired." She says, "Well you already had a long day. But don't worry I'm not going anywhere."
I close my eyes and start to feel comfortable and relaxed.
Just before I start to feel my eyes get heavy, Topanga comes into the room and says, "Girls were having-" Riley cuts her off and shushes her. Topanga continues whispering, "We're having pasta tonight. Are you hungry now or later?" Riley whispers, "Later." Topanga says, "Really? Okay then because Shawn and Katy and Farkle and Lucas and Josh are all here too." Riley says, "Fine we'll be there in a minute."
Topanga walks out and Riley says, "Wanna eat now?" I open my eyes and say, "If you do sure lets go." She says, "Eh actually you got me feeling tired too now." And laughs. I say, "Well I'm sure everyone will stay here late." She agrees and lays on my lap. I close my eyes again and play with her hair. Eventually we fall asleep at the bay window.

An hour later I wake up. I look down and see Riley asleep. I lift my head up and hear outside the door:
"They're being awfully quiet."
"I know right."
"What do you think they're doing? Topanga said they'd be out an hour ago."
"Just open the door and find out."
"No way man. That's invading their privacy."
"Oh come on Riley's parents do it to her all the time."
"Fine but if one of them get mad I'm blaming it on you."

It's Lucas and Josh. I quickly lean my head back against the window and close my eyes. The door opens and Josh says, "Well." Lucas says, "Makes a lot of sense." Josh says, "Follow me." Josh jumps on me and Lucas jumps on Riley. She screams awake and I pretend to be scared too. Josh kisses my neck and I push him away. Lucas kisses Riley's forehead repeatedly which makes her giggle. Josh says, "Why can't we be cute like that." I give him a weird look and say, "No." He says, "Oh come on." I say again, "No." Riley says, "You seriously scared me so bad I almost had a heart attack." Lucas says, "I just leaped on you gently." She says in defense, "Well when you're sleeping in peace that's the last thing you expect." The boys grab our arms and Josh says, "Well come on dinner's been ready." As Riley and I shuffle into the room I rub my eyes and she yawns. Shawn says, "Look, it's the sleeping beauties." We sit down next to each other at the table and eat in silence while everyone talks.

A long one! Yay or nay? Nothing really happened, just a cute chapter. I know I should've asked this before but I kept forgetting, who watched Girl Meets Texas?! What are your thoughts on it? I'm still a Rucas and Joshaya shipper😂💪🏼
