Sixty Two

Maya's POV:

Of course Cory has to kill the silence. He says, "Alright girls, lets hear about your day." Riley mumbles, "It was good. Completely uneventful." I smirk at her and say, "Yup. Nothing interesting happened at all." He says, "I see. Well what's that on your cheek Maya?" I touch my bruise and say, "Oh this? It must be from Josh jumping on me." Josh raises an eyebrow at me and says nervously, "I didn't even go near your face. What is that from?!" I shrug and finish the pasta in front of me. He says loudly, "MAYA!" I look up at him and say, "Hasn't everyone told you yet?" He says, "No? Can you just explain please. You're worrying me." I fake a smile and say, "Someone else wanna tell him?" Topanga says, "I will." And she starts to tell Josh. I get up and before I can walk away Riley tugs me down. This is gonna be so awkward for me. She's talking about me right in front of me. Yeah it's good things but still.. "And then she uppercutted him and knocked him right out!" Topanga said. Josh says, "WOAH! DAMN! I GOT A FIESTY ONE!" I fake laugh and look away.
Topanga finishes the story and everyone looks at me in amazement. I put my head down in my arms on the table. Farkle says, "Wow Maya." Lucas says, "You could've gotten hurt. But that's damn cool and brave." Josh says, "Damn babe. You've got more balls than me." Auggie looks up at him confused and I say to Josh, "Josh! Don't say that." Auggie says innocently, "I have a lot of balls too!" He runs into his room and comes back with atleast 10 bouncy balls in his arms. We all bust out laughing and Josh says, "Everyone's got more than me!" And Auggie sticks his tongue out. Josh grabs my hand from across the table and squeezes it.
My mom says, "Oh Maya guess what." Oh no, what now. I say, "What...." She says, "Well, me and Topanga were talking about you and you career at work. And a lot of the women we met said their daughters and sons love you and want to see you live. So we talked about some things. Aaaannnd we got you a little gig at Topanga's!" How am I gonna preform there? It's way too small, but I'm excited. I say back happily, "Yay that's awesome! It's gonna be real fun. When is it?" Topanga says, "Tomorrow at 3:30pm. Only if you can make it. We can always reschedule or cancel if you can't." I say, "We don't have any plans for tomorrow so of course I will." Topanga says, "Great! I can't wait to tell them their kids absolutely adore you." Josh shakes my arm up and down on the table and whines. I look at him and say, "What now?" He says, "I wanted to hang with you tomorrow." I say, "Okay well first, we are right now. And second it's not till 3:30 so we still can ya big baby." He smiles and taps to his cheek. I get up and sit next to him and kiss his cheek softly.

Around 9 o'clock my mom leaves, but Shawn stays because he has a job around this area early tomorrow morning. As my mom is walking out she asks me, "Maya, honey are you gonna come home tonight?" Riley asks, "Wanna sleep over?" I say to my mom, "Nah I'm gonna say here, but definitely Sunday I'll be there." She nods and walks out.
Soon after, Lucas and Farkle are called home. Riley and I offer to walk with them, but they decided to just climb out the bay window since it's much quicker.
After everyone is gone, it's Mr and Mrs Matthews, Shawn, Riley, me, and Josh.  Auggie had to go to bed a little while ago. Josh insists on watching nfl so we do. The Giants are playing the Eagles. Obviously, we're all Giants fans.
I curl into a ball towards Josh. He wraps his arms around my lower torso and kisses the top of my head. My head fits perfectly like a puzzle coming together underneath his. I put my hand on his chest feeling his heart beat.
By the middle of the fourth quarter, I fall asleep in Josh's arms.

Cute little joshaya moments :) I want them to be together in the show.. Like so bad 😂😍 next chapter will be the little concert and other stuff too, bye now! :)
