Thirty Five

Riley's POV:

So Maya's been gone for a few hours and we've just been playing monopoly. I sigh and put down my game piece and sit back on the couch and say, "Ugh. It's not fun without Maya."
Farkle says, "Hey? What about us?" I laugh and say, "I'm kidding! you guys are fun too." Lucas says, "She's done this a lot before." I say, "Well yeah, but I didn't know she was gone because I was asleep. It's different." He says, "Oh. Right. Well it's your turn to roll." I roll a four and move my game piece. I read the card, "Go to jail card." I groan and move my game piece. I say, "I'm gonna go call Maya to see how she's doing. Her meeting should be over." The boys say, "Okay." I walk into our room and call Maya:

On The Phone

Riley: hey
Maya: hey! I was just about to call. I need to tell you something
Riley: uh oh. What is it
Maya: so I took an uber to the airport right? Well guess who my driver was.
Riley: who?
Maya: ROSS. LYNCH.
Riley: ROSS? LIKE R5 ROSS? ROSS SHOR?
Maya: YES! AH WE BONDED REALLY WELL AND HE GAVE ME HIS NUMBER! HE CALLED ME CUTE AND AMAZING! I CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO SEE HIM WHEN I GET HOME!
Riley: HOLY SHIT MAYA! That's so awesome you're so lucky ahhhhh!
Maya: he's so sweet. You're gonna love him.
Riley: I can't wait! So how'd the meeting go?
Maya: pretty good. She told me to start working on new music and that the tour date is August 4th!
Riley: yay I'm so excited! When will you be home?
Maya: laughs awe pumpkin I just got here. My flights at 4am. I'll be home before you're even up though.
Riley: that's what you think. I might purposely stay up!
Maya:  oh honey. Thats what I KNOW. You won't last till 2:30.
Riley: well we'll just see won't we.
Maya: indeed we will. Okay I'm Gonna go get some sleep before the flight so goodnight I'll see you tomorrow!
Riley: awh. Okay goodnight

End of Call

I'm gonna prove to her I can stay up late. I walk back into the living room and turn on my iPhone playlist. The first song that comes on is Right Now. Of course it's Maya's song. I laugh and the boys and I sing along as we continue our game.

Once 12:00am came I felt like I'm about to fall asleep, but I fight it best I could. The boys went to bed shortly after.
I somehow manage to stay up till 2 before I fell into a deep sleep with my phone in my hands.

Maya's POV:

It's 7:02am and I just got home. I walk up the front steps and unlock the door quietly. I put my luggage down and see Riley dead asleep on the couch. I sit next to her and whisper, "I told ya." And act like I'm asleep. She stirs around and turns over to me and says loudly and happily, "Maya!" And hugs me. I hug her back and say, "I told you that you wouldn't last. But I give you credit for trying. It was cute." She says proudly, "I lasted till 2. I'm taking that credit." I say to her, "Why don't you go to bed and wake up later. I'll be here this time." And laugh. She says, "Okay, but aren't you coming?" I shrug and say, "I guess I will. Sleep couldn't hurt." I lock arms with my best friend and we walk into the room. We climb into bed and drift off with Riley humming my song Darling I'm A Mess.

Uneventful but short and sweet. Give me your thoughts on what I should do with Ross. Should he date anyone? Should he bring on some drama? Should I keep him or should he leave?
