Sixty Four

Maya's POV:

The room is actually pretty nice. It's got a balcony and even a little dining and kitchen area. I say, "Lucas this wasn't expensive right? You should've let me chip in." He says, "Nah it wasn't bad. I paid for it with the money I had on me so it was just fine. Don't be silly." I roll my eyes and say, "Well what now?" He says, "Wanna find the pool?" I say, "It's probably closed its like midnight." He shrugs and takes my hand and leads me out of the room. I say, "I like this side of Lucas Friar." He laughs and says, "No one else knows him.. Not even Riley." I whisper, "Well then he's my little secret." He smirks and points to a sign and says, "We gotta go downstairs. Race ya!" I sprint in front of him and race down the stairs as fast as my legs can take me. I throw my hands up and yell, "I WIIIIIIIN!" He puts his hand over my mouth and whispers, "Shh! We're gonna get caught." And giggles. I laugh and tip toe into the chlorine smelling pool room. He says, "This is kinda disappointing. I was hoping it was outdoor." I shrug and say, "Oh well. Pool is fun indoor or outdoor." He says, "Yeah so I can do something like this-" and pushes me into the pool. I swim back to the top and before I can speak he cannon balls into the pool splashing me even more. I glare at him and he laughs. He goes underneath me and lifts me up on his shoulders. I laugh and say, "No stop! Ah! Lucas!!" He laughs and drops me back into the water. I decide to play a little joke on him. When I was younger I loved to practice holding my breath underwater and I got to a minute. I stay under the water and stay still at the bottom. I keep my eyes open so I can see him. It only takes him 10 seconds to realize I'm not coming back up. The water vibrations become very disturbed as I see his body dive down towards me so fast. He swoops me up and swims back to the top. He gently lays me down on the side of the pool. He says, "Oh my God Maya are you okay?" I pretend to cough and say weakly, "Just one thing.." He says, "Oh gosh. No no no what is it?" I shoot up quickly and say, "GOTCHA!" His mood relaxes and he falls back into the water. He says in a screaming whisper, "MAYA ARE YOU CRAZY? DON'T DO THAT TO ME!" I laugh and say, "Oh come on. Don't act like you cared." His mood changes again and he says seriously, "Do you really think I wouldn't care if you drowned? Jesus Maya do you think I'm a monster?" I say, "Well no I mean no one would care about m-" Lucas cuts me off and says, "Just stop. Don't even say that. Maya you're surrounded by people who love you. Yeah you had a tough childhood. But look at you now." I stay silent and think how concerning and sweet he is.  I begin to eye up and down Lucas' perfectly shaped and formed body. I notice him staring at me. I say, "....yeah I-" suddenly Lucas' throws his lips onto mine. I can't help but kiss back. My mind tells me no, but my body wants it. I've been yearning for Josh's lips and Lucas' are so similar. Little, soft, and amazing at kissing. I pull back and stare at him. He immediately stutters, "I- I'm sorry- I- just I got in the moment- I'm- I'm sorry.." I say, "Uh. It's okay I kinda did too. We just never speak of this......Please." He nods and says, "Wanna just go to bed?" Now this is gonna be awkward. Although.. I kinda liked the kiss... Don't tell Riley I said that. I say, "Sure. But hey. This doesn't have to be awkward now. Deep down I know that you know you liked it.. And so did I. But we're loyal to Josh and Riley. So that kiss, never happened, right?" He jokes, "What kiss?" And winks. I playfully punch his arm and follow him out the door. We walk back to room in silence. I break it and say, "That was fun. Tonight was really fun. But I think we should be back home by 7am the latest. So we gotta leave here by like 5:30am which sucks, but hey. That's what comes with sneaking out." He shrugs it off and says, "That's fine. I'm an early bird. I know you're not though." I laugh and unlock the door to the room and say, "That's not necessarily a bad thing." He walks into the bathroom and throws me a towel and says, "Riiiiight." I watch him throw his shirt off and ruff up and dry his wet hair. I snap out of my stare and dry myself off in the bedroom. When I'm fairly dry I change into those robes they give you so I can sleep in that as my clothes dry. Lucas comes in the room with his hands over his eyes and says, "Are you decent?" I say, "Well uh yeah, but I'm gonna stay in this robe so my clothes can dry. Is that weird?" He says, "Not at all. I actually had the same idea." I look over at him and see he's in a robe too. I laugh and say, "That's relieving then." I climb into bed and he gets in on the other side. Honestly, Lucas is my good friend I don't mind sharing a room or a bed with him at all. I like this risky side of him. I guess I have to hang out with him more.
