Maya's POV:

After I threw the CD into my backpack I decided that I was gonna go practice the song I wrote especially for Riley. I looked around the living room to make sure no one was here and grabbed my guitar and quickly closed the balcony door behind me. I sat down and strummed and sang my song, Seamless. It was perfect. I know she's gonna love it. At the same time, I was nervous how she was gonna react. I had a plan on how I was going to present it to her. Once we got back to her apartment in NY, the first thing I would do when I walked in is go right for her bed room and place my album copy on her pillow on her side of the bed. I would make sure I was the first one to bed so when she walks in she wouldn't come rushing to me asking me what it was. When she picks up the album I would have a note attached,
"Hey Riles. Happy Birthday. Ever since we were little you've always meant so much to me, but I've never been able to prove it. I've stepped up and had this planned for a few weeks now. Staying up all night planning this trip and recording what you're holding in your hands right now. I never knew what I was capable of until I decided to see what I could do besides drawing and painting. I had a hidden talent. Who knew? I've been hiding this from everyone for 3 years now and it's about time I show it and who else but my favorite person to show it to first? You. So happy birthday I love you so much and I hope you don't go all out on me for hiding this. It comes right from my heart. Thanks for being there for me always. <3

I know it's cheesy, but she's Riley Matthews. She'll love it. As I'm going over the plan in my head I feel a sense of someone watching me. I turn around and see the curtain behind the door in the house sway as if someone disturbed it. That was weird. I thought. I walked back inside and quickly put my guitar back in its case and hid it with a blanket. As I stepped away, Riley walks into the room. I go up to her and ask, "Hey, are you ready?" She replies back jittery, "Yes I'm so ready. Thank you again this is already the best birthday ever!" I check my phone for the time:
7:36am
I yell so Farkle and Lucas can hear me over their video game, "COME ON GUYS WE HAVE TO LEAVE IF WE DON'T WANT TO BE LATE!" The boys come running into the room with their luggage and I tell Riley to grab all her things. "Alright guys are we all ready to have an amazing week back home?" I ask enthusiastically. Everyone heads out the door and I follow behind, wheeling my luggage in front of my guitar. We haul a cab over.
"Where to kids?"
"LAX."
We all answer happily. We load our bags in the trunk.
"Okay LAX here we come!" Says the driver. Knowing we have another 35 minute drive ahead of us, I lay my head on Riley's shoulder and fall asleep immediately.
