Mayas POV:

"Maybe I'll do it..."
Everyone cheers.
"I'll be back later guys I'm just gonna go for a walk to clear my mind out."
Riley asks, "Do you want me to come with you?"
I reply, "That's okay Riles, I'm not gonna be long." And I walk out.

As I'm walking along the trail in the park I'm quietly singing my song Right Now to myself. I keep my head down as someone bumps into me
which makes me drop my phone and I say, "Hey watch where you're going!"
The person says back, "Oh I'm so sorry I wasn't looking." I recognize that voice. I say, "Next time you should." And bend down to get my phone. I look up and my eyes meet with these beautiful brown ones that belong to.. Of course.. Josh. He says, "You know I purposely bumped into you right?" I say, "Well no not really. I didn't see you at first. What are you doing here?" He says, "I was just walking around when I saw you from a few feet back and heard you singing.. And damn Maya you're good. I love it."
I quickly reply with, "Yeah no I was just.. Uhh... Singing.. Uh. something I wrote a while back.. And I uh. Yeah thanks." He says back, "You stuttered a lot while saying that. Are you okay?"
I say back, "Yeah I'm okay I actually just came here to clear my mind and to think if I want to possibly get serious about music. Riley and Lucas encouraged me to earlier today and I left the apartment to take my mind off this." He says to me, "Well I'm going to this party tonight and you can come with me as my date? It'll really help you forget about it. What do you say?" He smiled. I reply, "I don't know Josh I have to think about it. I usually wouldn't go anywhere without Riley. I'll text you later. Bye Josh." And I started my walk back to the apartment.
