Thirty Six

Maya's POV:

I was waken up that morning by the sun shining through our curtains and the birds chirping. I take a long breath in and stretch my body out across the bed and over Riley. I breath out with a laugh as she whines at me. I say, "Morning sunshine. How'd you sleep?" She says, "Like a baby. Literally. I got cold so I curled up in a ball and felt like a kid again." I jokingly roll my eyes and sit on the edge of the bed and check my phone:
10:12am
3 new messages (Josh) (Shawn) (Mom)

Josh: hi baby. Just checking in on you. How'd the meeting go? I miss you lots. I wish I got to say goodbye before you left 😞
Shawn: Maya! How'd the meeting go? When's the tour? I'm really happy for you kiddo, keep making me proud.
Katy: hi honey just curious how everything went yesterday. Hope you had a safe flight. Keep in touch with me!

"Hey Riles?" I say. I look over to see Riley fast asleep again. Ah forget it. I was gonna tell her about how I've been talking to Ross a lot lately. I lay back down and rub my face with my hands. I start to really wonder how I even got to where I am. I'm so happy Lucas and Farkle and Riley agreed to moving here with me. I know it was a huge jump and we had no idea what we were gonna do. I stare at the ceiling with my hand above my head on the pillow. I keep my eyes shut and continue to fill my mind with thoughts and questions. Just as I felt my eyes start to get heavy, I'm woken back up to Farkle and Lucas jumping on the bed. Riley groans really loud and turns on her stomach and puts the pillow behind her head. I laugh at her and ask, "What the hell guys? I was getting tired again." Lucas says, "It's like 10:20. Don't you ever wanna get up?" I say, "I've been up since 7. I had to catch a 4:30am flight and didn't sleep on it at all. So yes I will get up, but not now." I flip my body on the side to face Riley and put my arm across the bed space between us.
The boys sigh and walk around our room.
Within minutes, I fall asleep to the sound of Riley's heavy breathing.

Lucas' POV:

I look over at the girls and  say, "Look, they're asleep again!" Farkle laughs and rolls his eyes. I suggest, "Let's do something to them." Farkle gives me a weird look and says, "When do you ever do something that might be the slightest bit bad? And besides, you really want to disturb them?" And points to them. I shake my head and say, "I'm getting Maya back for years of being made fun of. She tortured you! Don't you wanna mess around for once?" Farkle shrugged and said, "I don't know. I guess so. Depends on what we do." I say, "Let's get that water gun she woke us up with the other day and do the same to her." Farkles eyes light up and say, "I'm in. We have to make it ice cold." We tip toe out of their room and into the garage to get the water guns. We fill them up with ice cubes and cold water. We tip toe back in the room and I whisper, "I'm scared what if she kills us?" And laugh. Farkle says, "Ready? 3..2..1! FIRE!" We start blasting the guns yelling as loud as we can. Maya and Riley scream and throw the blankets over the both of them and put the pillows on their faces. "LUCAS! FARKLE! PISS OFF! OR I PROMISE YOU'LL BE HURTING!" Maya threatens. I say, "That's payback for all those years of making fun of me and torturing Farkle." I smile and walk out confidently. Farkle comes up behind me and says, "She's definitely gonna kill us." I laugh and nod my head.

Not sure if I should end the book before tour or should I keep it going. I need some ideas for chapters I'm out of ideas. Let me know in the comments
