Eighty Five

Maya's POV:

Let's make Christmas the whole year round. This time of year is so beautiful and warming and fun. Family, friends, snow fall, warm comfy clothes, hot cocoa, cuddling wrapped in 10 blankets, singing, the silver nights, giving gifts, kissing under the middle toe, decorating, and the lights. Ah.
Riley helped me decide on a not too short black dress with a red coat over it, and she ended up on a cute long red dress.
We all piled into the limo and are almost to the show. I'm feeling a little nervous. Since it's a free show, in the middle of NYC, and Justin there's gonna be A LOT of people.
I stare out the window in a daze and Riley snaps me out of it, "Earth to Maya." I look over and smile and say, "Sorry." She says, "Your mom was saying something to you." I look over at her and raise my eyebrows. She says, "I'm so excited to see you perform and do your thing up there baby girl. You sound so beautiful and to see how many people love and adore you makes me so proud." I smile and say, "Thanks mom." Josh puts his hand lower down my waist and squeezes my butt and kisses my neck. He whispers, "I love you too and I'm very proud of you." Riley says, "Me too peaches. I'm so glad I met you and we became best friends immediately. I'd be no where without you. I love you." I smile at her and lean my head on her shoulder and say, "I love you too, sunshine."
Finally, we arrive in Times Square.
Randy gets out of the car before me and signals me to go out and everyone else follows me. The crowd that already is there starts screaming while pulling their phones out. I smile and wave and walk backstage. I see R5 is here already. I run up to Ross and hug him. He lifts me up and spins around in circles. I hear Josh say behind me sadly, "That's my thing.." Ross let's me down and walks to Josh and says politely, "Hey you must be Josh. I don't believe we've met before. I'm Ross Lynch. It's great to meet you I've heard amazing things about you." He shakes Josh's hand and he says, "Yeah I figured that's who you were. I hear a lot of good about you too." Ross smiles and turns back to me and says, "So obviously it's just us and you. So we're thinking that after our song ends, we were just gonna keep the beat going and lead it into Justin's song and then run off stage still playing it for his band to pick up." I say, "That's actually a really good idea. That's gonna be cool. Where is Justin anyway?" Ross points to the other side of the room. I take Riley's hand and lead her to him. She says, "This can't be real." I say, "Hey Justin." He turns around quickly and says, "Hey cutie. And oh hey! It's the other cutie! Riley right?" Riley blushes and says, "Thats me. It's so great to meet you. I love you. I mean- I love your music. And you. For yourself...." I laugh at how awkward she is. Justin giggles and hugs her and says, "Well you're even more perfect in person. We're gonna become really close I can feel it." I say backing up, "I'm gonna leave you guys alone to get to know each other." And walk back to Ross and Josh and everyone else.
I see Lucas' body tense up and his muscles pop. I say laughing, "Calm down cowboy you're gonna rip your shirt." He says through his teeth, "I don't like that guy. I don't like it at all. He's gonna steal her away because he's famous and can do whatever he wants. I'm not gonna let that happen." He starts for Riley but I tug him back and say, "Stop. No he's not. You can't just get all defensive because he's speaking to her. If you even met him he's not like that." Zay says, "Yeah man! Justin's so cool.. I mean. I wouldn't know- but he. Looks it. Yeah.." I laugh and say, "Awe Zay is a belieber." Farkle says romantically, "It's okay. I'm a swiftie." I say, "Really? Since when? Oh never mind. Tell Riley I'm gonna head on stage soon so I'll see her after." They all nod and wish me luck. Josh kisses me and holds my waist gently. He pulls back and leans his forehead on mine and whispers, "Goodluck. You're gonna do great." I smile and squeeze his hand and walk with the band onto stage for sound check.
